Not working on Discord
It worked perfectly fine up until about a week or 2 ago, then it just stopped playing things over my microphone completely

worst part of this is that I've been searching for a solution for months and still nothing, anywhere. :(

If you got your steam or your Discord open with Administrator, need to execute the other with administracion power

i had the same issue. all i did was update windows and it started working for me again, but i had to uninstall the mic drivers and reinstall them.

Try to run discord as Administrator, that fixed the issue for me.
