How do I play a sound through microphone AND headset at the same time?

I wanna listen to the sounds I play, its pointless if I myself cant hear anything.

If there aren't any technical problems, then it might be one of the following:

• Wrong playback device. Please check File -> Preferences -> Devices -> Playback device and select the one you are currently using.
  
• The play mode is set to microphone only. Change the play mode with the first icon in the status bar to default (speakers and microphone) or speakers only.
  
• The volume of the speakers is too low or muted. You can adjust it with the volume slider at the top right of the main window.
