Soundpad

Soundpad only works in discord and not in-game, Unsure what else I have to do.
Hey,

I've read the tutorials and checked a few videos on YouTube. I just don't know what it is. 2 of my friends recently got it and well it seems to work for them. I don't know if its because they have one playback device only or idk...

I tried 3 games specifically, Dota 2, CSGO, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Am I supposed to see the mic indicator in the games to know its working? It shows up when I press my PTT but if I press like ALT+4 (hotkey for soundpad), no indicator thing shows in the game, so I assume it doesn't work. I have the playsound to play both mic and speaker. Should I be hearing the soundpad work in game to know its working?

Here are my settings and other specifics:

- Mouse 4: Push-to-talk key for all 3 games
- I use voice activation for Discord at -41db input sensitivity. This was based on my friend helping me clear out a lot of background noise like keyboard taps and stuff.
- Voice volume for Soundpad is 89db
- I enabled "Play Voice activation sound" in soundpad preferences. It's what a YouTube tutorial said to do but I don't know if theres anything that changed.
- I also enabled "Block voice while playing sounds on microphone".
- The only recording device I have enabled and using is the Yeti Stereo Microphone, its status is "Good" and I restarted Win-Audio several times already.
- My Playback devices are [Speaker: Schiit Modi 3] and [Realtek Digital Audio: Realtek(R) Audio]. The speaker is plugged into my AKG K712 Pro headphones and the Realtek is used with my actual speakers Logitech z263 or some ♥♥♥♥ idk.
- I'm not sure about the playback device but I have it to Default.
- I set up some hotkeys but they don't work in game, as said only on discord. I tried out a Auto Key but I wasnt sure it was working so I just removed it.
- On the bottom left of the Soundpad window I have the Play (Triangle), H, and A buttons enabled.

I think that is about it.

Thanks and cheers

my friend just had this problem and it turns out the application messes with your mic settings and switches it off your default mic so try switching the microphone to default etc and see if that works for you

Thanks but I figured it out. Apparently for me at least, I have to hold my push to talk button in game.

Oh i see, did you not go into preferences and add the push to talk button to be held whenever you use a sound?
