Hotkeys and shortcuts
Hi guys,

I am actually struggling a bit with Soundpad. I have been using it for quite some time now, adding more and more sounds, really pleased with it, but today it becomes really hard to get my head around every shortcuts. I was wondering if there is a way to use a single shortcut for different sound, depending of the selected category.

For example :
  • "Num1" would play "Sound A1" when "Category A" is selected, and it ("Num1") would play "Sound B1" when "Category B" is selected.
  • Same, "Num2" would play "Sound A2" when "Category A" is selected, and would play "Sound B2" when "Category B" is selected.
  • etc.

Pretty much the same way a single shortcut will not play the same sound when switching lists.
Is it possible to do the same with categories ?

That would be really convenient since you can have shortcuts/specialskeys - next and previous - to switch category, but not lists.

The request contradicts current hotkey design.

But, maybe these are possible alternatives for you:
1. Use different sound lists, because they can have the same hotkeys.
2. Use index hotkeys. As you already use numpad hotkeys, it might be of use for you. It is described in more detail in the linked discussion.

Thanks for the answer. Didn't see that possibility/and the linked topic. It's working pretty well. thanks again :)
