Having issues with working hotkeys. (Can't use hotkeys at all)

Now I have the program running as admin and I have multiple sounds hotkeyed and have two button hotkeyed to be abled to turn them off and on. Obviously, hotkeys are enabled in the preferences menu. I've got it all set up to play on my microphone and speakers. I tried playing Siege, Rust and Overwatch to test out the hotkeys. None of the hotkeys will work nor can I turn it off or on. Soundpad is running in the background and I don't know how to fix this. I greatly appreciate any help

Do hotkeys work when Soundpad is in the foreground or when you aren't playing a game? What kind of hotkeys do you use, what key combination?

The enable and disable hotkeys work in the background but not ingame. However the hotkeys don't work in either situations. I'm using my numpad on the right side of the keyboard using the numbers 1-9. The enable hotkey is num+ and disable hotkeys is num-.

Sounds like a num lock[en.wikipedia.org] issue. Was num lock active as you set the hotkeys and is it active now?
Depending on num lock the keyboard sends different key information: Numpad key 1 = Num1 or End, Numpad key 3 = Num3 or Page down, etc.

I.... really need to learn more computers. Pressing num lock on I guess since it's lighted up worked. Apologies for the confusion here. This is my first time ever using a soundboard program and using hotkeys. Thank you very much Leppsoft

got the same problem i did everything and still doesnt work while i play lol

Open the installation folder of soundpad. Then open the properties for the executable. On the compatibilty tab set it to start with administrator privileges.

Problem solved.
