Discord / Teamspeak - Sound quality
If sounds are cut off or distorted when played on Discord or Teamspeak, then you can get a better quality by doing these two steps:

General
1. Let Soundpad measure your voice volume at File -> Preferences -> Audio by clicking the button next to the decibel value. Afterwards all sounds will be played as loud as your voice.

Discord
2. Run the Mic Test in the preferences of Discord at Voice & Video. Play a longer sound on the microphone only from Soundpad. Then disable Automatically determine input sensitivity, Echo Cancellation, Noise Suppression and Automatic Gain Control in Discord's preferences and enable them again one by one, until you have the best mix of voice and sound quality.

Teamspeak
2. Start the microphone test in the preferences of Teamspeak at Tools -> Options -> Capture. Play a longer sound on the microphone only from Soundpad. Then disable Echo reduction, Echo cancellation, and in the advanced options Remove background noise and Automatic voice gain control in Teamspeak's preferences and enable them again one by one, until you have the best mix of voice and sound quality.

The options Remove background noise and Echo reduction have the biggest impact on sound quality, at least numerous users reported it. Unfortunately, these options behave differently on different systems. While they have a big impact on some systems, they don't do anything on others.

Furthermore, the codec of the channel and its quality setting (1 to 10) can heavily affect the sound quality. These settings can only be changed by server admins, channel admins or users with appropriate permissions. If you and your friends talk to each other in a channel with quality 1, then you might more or less understand yourselves, but the richness and quality of played sounds will be filtered massively. Here are more details about this subject.

Conclusion
Discord and Teamspeak, like every other voice application, filter and encode your voice and the sounds to reduce bandwidth. Sometimes, this is done so vigorously, that the sounds lose their richness, or even sound awful or in the worst case are filtered completely.

Sound check in Soundpad
To hear the quality, at which Soundpad actually injects the sounds into the microphone stream, you may run the voice volume measurement of point 1 and play a sound on the microphone only from the main window. The quality should be the same as if you play the sound directly on your speakers.
