Can I use a Launchpad with Soundpad?

I've got a Novation Launchpad MKII and was wondering if there was any compatibility with that and SoundPad?

Launchpad is a MIDI controller and isn't supported. Soundpad can be controlled by keyboard or mouse hotkeys or by using the command line parameter -rc.

The link above mentions tools that can convert MIDI input to keyboard input. These converters probably work for Launchpad, too. Alternatively, you may try to use the application that comes with Launchpad if it has an option to launch an application on key press. That way you can play sounds in Soundpad by using the -rc parameter. To get a list of available commands, run Soundpad --help from command line.
