Soundpad

Soundpad made my over all mic quality sound really bad
is there any way to fix this? the sound effects sound equally as bad when played. I bought sound pad through google as i often switch accounts to play games so i didn't want it linked to just one

After uninstalling it and restarting my pc, my microphone quality is still bad

Can you please install Soundpad once again, run it, select Help -> Troubleshooting from the menu and report a bug with the troubleshooting report? We might need to adjust the installer to work differently on your sound card and audio drivers.

As uninstalling Soundpad didn't fix the problem, you can try to re-install your audio drivers. It will bring everything in order again.

The issue might also be that when i install sound pad and restart my pc, it removes the enhancements option from my microphone settings in the properties section. And what i generally do is enable to option of "Disable all sound effects" which might mean that the option is auto enabled now since the enhancements tab is gone
BioTomik Nov 21, 2019 @ 1:03pm
i just realized that my sound pad now says that it's a trail version even though i have it bought? unless its a visual glitch
Leppsoft  [developer] Nov 22, 2019 @ 3:22am
Thank you for the report. The installation path is correct and doesn't require a change. We have MSI test hardware with similar drivers and it works fine, so it's probably something different that makes trouble.

You say, that you usually disable all sound effects. This is probably the reason for the problem. When you install Soundpad, then sound effects are enabled automatically as Soundpad won't work when they are disabled and Soundpad will always re-enable them or at least show you a popup when they are disabled.
It looks like after you installed Soundpad the regular microphone effects of your drivers like noise suppression and others, which were previously overriden by the "disable all effects" option, got enabled and that made your microphone sound unfamiliar and bad. After uninstalling Soundpad they remained enabled.

When Soundpad is installed the enhancements tab is hidden. We have an FAQ how to access it: How do I access sound card enhancements like Noise Reduction?[www.leppsoft.com].

There are different ways to solve the problem.
Way 1 (without restarts):
  1. Start Soundpad, go to File -> Preferences -> Devices and uncheck your microphone, then apply.
  2. Open the windows enhancements tab (Win10 1903): Press Win+R -> mmsys.cpl -> Recording tab -> double-click your microphone -> Enahancements and uncheck everything, Apply.
  3. Then select your microphone in Soundpad again, apply and Restart Win-Audio.

If way 1 doesn't work or a step is unclear, try Way 2 (requires restarts):
  1. Uninstall Soundpad and restart.
  2. Open the Realtek HD Audio-Manager and deactivate all effects of your microphone there in. Check if the microphone sounds like you wanted it.
  3. Install Soundpad again.

About trial version: Just enter your serial number again after you install Soundpad.
