Setting Hotkeys on a Drum Pad
I've bought a drum pad from amazon thinking I could assign sounds to the piano, however when I come to assign a hotkey it doesn't detect the key strokes from the pad. My drum pad is detected by my computer and the hotkeys work on my normal keyboard. How to fix?

MIDI devices aren't supported. This thread might help https://steamcommunity.com/app/629520/discussions/0/1698293703772751699/

That'll teach me to buy something from amazon without researching. Oh well, maybe I'll find another use for it someday. Thanks!

which drum pad did you get?

It's the Akai Professional MPK MINI from Amazon. I don't know if you should get this one though since it's kinda costly and I got it on sale.

I see what you're wanting to do. You can do this with this keyboard. You need different software though like this.

Once you get the software, you can assign different sounds to different keys. I believe the end effect is what you're looking for or at least similar.
