In Practice Mode you can do practice with AI allies vs AI, or with other players vs AI.
We are still developing the game, and plan to add an Adventure mode, where you will be able to play adventure-themed matches played against AI opponents, to get special lootboxes, enhancements for your fighters and even get special fighters for your army.
However, if you plan not to play with other players, I am not 100% sure if any single-player seeking person might enjoy a multiplayer oriented game - but at least I can tell this, you should give it a try, rather than most multiplayer games, BC will have a lesser entry barrier and easy-to-learn mechanics.
I'm used to playing RPG and strategy games solo even card games
