Monster Letters?

How do you get these? I have released about 4 joyous monsters so far, with many days between. Not once have I gotten a letter.

I just added a new tutorial for this, although it doesn't spell out the specific numbers (that does take away a little bit of the majesty).

Short answer:

There is a 50% chance that a max-happiness monster can write a letter, upon release.

IF a monster 'wins' that coin flip, then you are guaranteed a letter from that monster. However, the exact day will vary. The chance of the monster writing one starts at 10% and increases 10% per day, up to 50%. You cannot get two letters in the same day.

It can take a while. Just try and pass days to increase the chance of the rng smiling upon you.

thanks for the responses... I actually got a couple letters after a few future releases. The replies helped me understand how this works still tho, so I appreciate it.
