How do you save in this game?
I just played for the first time, for about 20 minutes. ONline wouldn't work, so I had to restart stea. No option to load the game. So, how do you save?

If your game started in "offline" mode, the save game is flagged as offline.
Restarting them, would create save game bound to your Steam account.

.hp files are the save game. They are text can you can edit.

At what points does it save? When uou access breaches?

Anytime something meaningful happens;
- Changing equipment
- Killing enemies
- Looting items
- Finishing dialogs
- Dying
- Opening doors and switches
