A coop partner is more than enough for the game's proposal.
Pvp is another story.
As I always say, this is not dark souls, you want to play dark souls play dark souls. The game is hellpoint.
^This. The sheer amount of times I had to make this point is ludicrous. Not every Souls-like should be held to the unrealistic standards of a seasoned veteran AAA studio like From Software with tons of long time talent and resources. For a tiny indie studio with huge limitations, Hellpoint is one hell of a triumph.
There's a lot of work to still be done in terms of bugs, balance and what-not and while it would be cool to play with more people with rebalances to support that; it all comes down to the custom engine's limitations, server infrastructure and other things even the more serious players aren't aware of.
Game development is hard man.
and Duke Serius, the mod creates a folder with a file "config.xml" that you can modify to place the maximum players you want}
I can imagine setting up the file a battle of 20 allies vs 20 invaders if you like
although I don't know if the game can take it
Hey, dude, do you still have this mod?
