Is multiplayer cross platform?
Or can you only play with other Steam players? :expression1:

Will this have crossplay between platforms?
That helps to keep a community stronger rather than fragmented player bases

At launch, there will be no cross-play between consoles and PC.

Crossplay is currently between Steam, GoG and Epic store, across Windows, Mac and Linux.

We are investigating having console crossplay as well.

its not even multiplayer half the time right now thanks to them spending more on graphics designers and leaving no budget for a network specialist it would seem

Actually it is cross-play considering cross-play refers to connecting with other platforms Steam / EPIC / GOG, than theres also Linux what you seem as "cross-play" is probably cross platform play - PC to Console however that is separate.
