By getting higher scores on each level, you just increase your total score and get a higher place on the leaderboards, which to my surprise, has hacked/fake scores despite the game's fair difficulty. (Bubsy 1 is a nightmare compared to this)
Is this true and if so is it the same in this one? I will begin attempting this as I await a response, whichever comes first.
And no, you cannot get lives by collecting yarn in Woolies Strike Back. This game uses the T-Shirt system for lives. You have 9 lives at the start of each level and since there's no health bars, if you get hit by the enemies, you lose a life. By collecting a T-Shirt. you get a shield which protects you from 1 hit. But if you don't lose it, every other T-Shirt you collect, will add to your total amount of lives in that level. But honestly, there's usually no need to collect lives other than getting the "Collect all T-Shirts" achievements; because this game is really easy compared to the other games in the series.
