Intro to Trials of Tianmat

How do I unlock this feature?
Before you can take part in Trials, you must have battled Tiamat and completed 'Elturel's Last Stand' in the Descent Into Avernus campaign. Then you need to complete the introductory adventure by clicking the Trials of Mount Tiamat campaign button on the campaign map. Once that is done, a new dialog will appear in the game which will let you create and join active Trials of Mount Tiamat campaigns.

When you have done that, you'll have a button on the left top panel for doing trials, and another one to craft legendary items.

and one more for good measure. I believe it's called "Mad God", a 0 favour adventure (kind of like STPs adventures).

Well...
Free play is there for a reason.
You could increase your divine blessing to get more money and have the heroes at higher levels.
You could try designing better formations.
You could seek out more chests for higher item levels.
Those are SOME options.
