Graphics hesitation issues
When the game is first opened all is smooth and well. Over time I notice a hesitation whenever the mouse cursor is moved from the champion placards to the field. It's been no real big issue until that hesitation grows to well over 500 ms (1/2 sec). Simply shut down the game, reload it and it's back to smooth again.

This latest update has seen the effect get much worse, much faster. I like the added colour in the upgrade (green for champs on field, blue for those not on field when the target upgrade range is effective). However, I believe it has exascerbated the undelying problem causing this hesitation. In my current gate event, I've had the hesitation grow to 200-300ms every 1-2 sec with no mouse movement. Close the game, reload and it's gone for another 50 or so levels until it starts creeping back in.

This seems to get worse fastest when actively playing (loads of mouse movements) while not progressing much if at all while running idle in the background. It's also apparently not affected by whatever (if anything) is also running alongside the IdleChamps program.

Me too, was wondering if affecting anyone else.

Not that I'm glad to see folks with troubles, but I am glad to see I'm not the only one to see the difference. If this were my older HP laptop I would have assumed it's lack of dedicated graphics capability was at fault. This laptop however is much more capable and should not be experiencing this problem. More importantly, it appears to be progressive like a memory leak type issue except it's not causing system failures or interrupt faults [yet].

edit for clarity:
This laptop is a 2-year old MSI Apache Pro. Graphics is the GTX-960M. It has no problems running ARK, Farming Sim 17, Skyrim, Factorio and any number of other graphic intensive games at consistently reasonable [or better] framerates.

I thought it was an FPS drop, but after leaving my client open for over an hour, I realized it's more like extreme bursts of lag. Every once in a while the game will be just fine, then it freezes or pauses.

Getting it too, after about 5 minutes it just stutters a lot until restarting the game, then 5 minutes later its playing up again. Only started after tonights patch for me.

On an i5 4690K, 16GB Memory, with a GTX 1070. Windows 10 x64. (Not sure if that'll be any useful info for determining where the issue may be or if it's for any specific hardware or OS, but it may be.)

As soon as I turned off UI caching my issue went away.

I'll try that as wel, thanks

Edit:
Turned off UI caching and it seems to be running smoother than ever. Looks like a fix :)

thx, worked for me too.

I have this problem as well, after the latest patch. Small stutter every 1-2 seconds and it gets worse the longer the client is open, active or in the background. Never had this problem before this latest patch (0.2.46.1 v0.163) and UI Caching has always been on as well.

As suggested here, turning off the UI Caching fixed it for me. No more stuttering and as smooth as it was before the patch.

Thanks @Milkman Dan

@Milkman Dan I've marked your response as answer so others can see it right off.

Thanks again!

Im glad, I found this. Had this micro lag stutter too, after last update. Seems gone for now.

What does UI Caching exactly do?

Partially guessing here... Each of the various components of the UI are loaded into memory the first time you call that proceedure. Things like the cash shop or character windows have the static components loaded once then the rest is called from the update files (database, tables, etc). After the first time, only those update portions take up any significant time while the rest is called from [guessing here] the gpu's static memory.

tldr; It speeds up redraw time for the various windows of the user interface.
