main part of the UI black

so after today's update, when i log in, the main part of the UI in the middle remains black (the part with my champions and the opponents). The character bar in the bottom, as well the other areas in the top left and right, are still visible.
Rebooting the computer did nothing to help.
Will i be unable to play until tzhey fix this in another update?

no, reinstalling did not help. main UI part is still black.
Guess i need to stop playing till they repair it in the next update. :(

ok, i started the game up again, thought I'd contact support again from ingame, and suddenly it's all back. Even though i did absolutely nothing this time.

Does this happen every now and then?

ok, i know a little bit more.
It depends on which level in my adventure i am currently in (Tower on the Lake) - some levels work, others are black. That's why i thought it worked again before: if i change back to level 398 i get a working screen, if I go to e.g. 408 it's all black.

This just started today for me. Changing areas, changing parties, and logging off and on aren't working for me. It seems like it's happening on most areas. I can't play like this.

tried a couple things, but i believe those two things that i did made the game work again:
in the game under menu/settings i cleared out the local cache.
afterwards in the steam library rightclicked the game, properties/localfiles verify integrity.
after that game downloaded some stuff and now seems to work again.
