It's just well...
Yea
It looks like there's no point to strat if you have no enough favor to finish it purely on click damage...
Depends when you encounter or attempt it. Players have much, much more power at their disposal now then ever before and thus, obviously, if you come to those variants that have been in the game for a long time with a significant portion of that power then they're not going to be all that difficult at all.
the variant suppose you'll get to final areas with very few champs or even with none (325 areas means you'll lose all the slots on 300th)
With the current set-up I think you can have two champion slots open (same amount of fieldable as story of two champion in avernus has)
These arn't the easiest of variants (Just like the 4-chicken mistake many people make early on) but they aren't too hard when you're far enough in-game either.
Tip for Patron Variants tho:
Do the highest ones you can meet requirements for, to gain income and boost you perks as fast as you can. (Easier ones have a low payout)
Yes, but the strategy for all those variants that remove slots is to go back to area 1 and save a full formation without familiars that is capable of setting as high a BUD as possible (since you regain access to all slots if you go back) THEN, you have another saved formation, this time WITH familiars built for the furthest point you can currently reach...the actual champions you use is immaterial since it is click damage you will be killing with...
You then set a high BUD on area 1...pop a fire breath potion and turn auto progress back on...as you jump forward you load in the second formation and ride the BUD spike killing everything with click damage until the BUD declines...at which point you go back and spike it again...repeat until the end.
Whether you lose one slot or all of them, THAT is the way to beat all those variants that take away slots....as long as you can build a formation on area 1 that can generate sufficient damage then you will beat it. Now, is that a great design or idea? maybe not....but that's a whole other kettle of fish.
Some have armor-segemented bosses tho, so BUD is your best friend as you stated but firebreath, only most of the time.
Neither LMB, nor hotkeys work for holding (like champs leveling, for example)
Also: if you're looking for hotkey's you'd expect, ask on the forum (or discord). There's always someone who knows the hotkey (if it's there)
But still... it's kinda stupid to add ingame hotkeys tip and not to add ALL the hotkeys there...
Left click + 5 circles with your mouse cursor is handy sometimes if you're troubleshooting
There's prolly a full list somewhere, but since they are open for change the list might be wrong for some.
