Increase Influence Rewards or Reduce Perk cost!
Hey

ive been playing this game for 5 years now.
Fair to say not much left for me to do and my power level is crazy, but im still here everyday chilling and grinding higher and higher.

The rework of the Patron system i noticed is really an over-kill.

I had already unlocked tons before it so i only recently noticed this.

But im trying to progress on Elminster and im up to Tier 7
My cheapest Perk right now is on Tier 5 adn costs 22.7 Billies !
And each mission i clear only gives 368 million.

The amount of manual labor and effort on clearing so many missions is really too much.
The higher Tiers go into the hundreds of Billions and im not even sure its attainable....

I have a job and things to do in real life.
I can clear the missions but the amount of time demanded of me to do so is not very thought out.

And this comes from an long time player who has the power to push forward, i cant even imagine newbies and the brick wall this type of progress gives them.

My suggestion:
The Patron Perk cost must be reduced or reward payouts increased....

Note the hardest variants should give you (way) more influence, and capping perks is not about doing all variants at all, but doing the very high goal ones as soon as you can, as an handful of them should cover every needed influence.

If I take my current progression with 462/465 Eliminster's variant done, byteglow tells me:
Available influence 976 870 713 166 470 = 9.76e14
Total influence spent 276 053 712 268 020 = 2.76e14 (necessary to cover all perks)
Total influence earned 1 252 924 425 434 500 = 1.25e15
My missing variant should earn me 3.14e12 influence which will not be very significant.

As you see, there is pratically 5 times more available influence than necessary to cover all perks

Taking back that 2.76e14 needed influence, let's compare the reward in influence given by the 1500+ goal Elminster variants:
1600 (Eye Spy - FW): 5.42e14
1550 (Aligned in Purpose - FW): 2.17e14
1500 (The Final Curtain - WbW, Evil to the Core - LoX, Four Corners - FW): 8.67e13 each

The five variants together give 1.02e15 influence, so more than 80% of the total influence of 465 variants.

In fact, doing Eye Spy and nothing else is enough to buy all perks.

Whoa i never saw the newer ones give more influence.

When they rolled the update everything was synced to 368 million and i after some clicking around i didnt see anything higher.

Guess my bad for not noticing they still scaled upwards later on.

Yup, it's because almost all variants in first campaigns are floored at 825 area goal for Elminster and those 368 millions are the influence reward for that 825 goal.

Yeah that is too low but i guess for newer players progressiing this way is more smooth and gives you a smoother power creep.
