Unspeakable Horrors
I'm trying again to get through but I have been getting stopped about 800 or so. I'd like to finish z1600. I tried it a few days ago and got stuck and forgot about it. So now making another attempt. Should I find 2 evil champs to stack with Warden?

What are current restrictions for this variant?

Three possible ideas:

1. Miria + Blooshi
2. Something based on Desmond.
3. Something based on a fully charged up Vin Ursa.

You end up with 2 slots open besides warden who's damage is increased 20,000% evert 50 zones.

I'm going to try Miria and Blooshi but my main problem is Warden doesn't seem to really be gaining enough power. I felt like this would be similar to the Strix/Rosie we had a few months ago where they could get to z2001.

Warden does have all leg gear on but they aren't leveled beyond 1 or 2. I don't pull him out very often.

In my case, Rosie also had very low ilvl (~200) and not much in terms of legendaries (either none at all or a full set of level 1 legendaries).

You can also try fire breath potion trick if extra tentacles are removed when you return to z0001.

Go back and spike my BUD with a full party then swap to the higher zone? That I will give a shot here in a bit.

I am spiking bud (which I tend to forget about and derp out) which will get me past 1000 and hopefully with 9 champs fielded I can get enough bud to clear 1600.

Edit: Got it. Thanks for the time. I just find new ways to be a derp lol.

SheepGravy. When you say you're spiking bud what are you doing? I thought as long as the Breath of Fire potion was active that it always adjusted the bud. Is it only the bud AT that time?

Firebreath potion uses current BUD, which is initial set BUD & its degradation.

In a variant that remove some slots, spiking BUD means going to area 1 or so and set a full party, hit a good BUD and go on with FB potion until the degradation stops progression again, rinse & repeat.

You can also spike a BUD in other situations, like going a few tens areas before & stay there the time some building buffs, like Astarion's Well Fed, have the time to stack up. With a few building up abilities, you can commonly gain 100 areas with that method. Or even more in some situations (cumulating sticky debuffs & build up abilities... but that starts to be longer and more boring to set up and tune up).

Also good idea to remove familiars from click damage when spiking bud at zone 1 or wherever, at least in my experience. It'll spike higher with no familiar using the firebreath potion. Then put it back on.

Agree on familars, your FB potions may work against you if they are fielded.

is there a max damage number that must be met for every variant to reach 1600? And then you always FB spam (back to stage 1, spike, continue) to complete the adventure?

IIRC, you need BUD around e425 to clear z1600. It is possible to reduce the threshold to ~e400 using debuffs and overkill, but don't depend on it too much.

yes e425 is threshold to beat z1600, everytime i can get to that, no problem finishing.

No, only in variant when slots are removed during the course of the adventure. In most case, z1600 (or higher) can be reach without doing anything special after initial set up as long as you've the gear & legendaries.

As kab_reg added, in most case, I only check if my BUD is above e425 after initial set up (or will grow up to this point if I use champions like Evelyn or Blooshi), sometimes it's tricky with strong restrictions, other times I know I'll end with a e800+ BUD without efforts.
