It depends on how hard you can push and how much favor you got.
Truth be told, it barely makes a difference.
Early game: With patron
Mid Game: bout even
Late game: Without patron
Just ask yourself, do the perks provide a sufficient bonus compared to the heroes you would normally use without patron but cannot with patron? If you are giving up a better buff from a hero to get a patron perk then it's not worth it.
In my opinion you should farm without patrons already as you should have sufficiently equipped heroes. It also gives you more freedom to test formations at your wall. If you find a cool formation and then find out you can also use it with a patron then go for it.
I personally never farmed favor with a patron.
favor isn't the key, but looking at previous messages you're early to mid game now.
Best way to determine how far in you are is "highest favor multiplied by percentage of champions owned".
<15 = early
15-25 = mid
>25 = late
Or do it based on gem gain:
under 1500/hour = early
1500-2500/hour = mid
above 2500/hour = late
I guess so too...
But how do you do based on the best way to determine... ?
"highest favor multiplied by percentage of champions owned".
<15 = early
15-25 = mid
>25 = late
Based on a feeling that I can actually start doing some of the harder variants and fill in patron perks, have reasonable levels on gem farming, click damage starts to be useful, etc... (so points I would consider to signalise late/end game - I would not have said less than e35
well anyway I am well past that sitting at e52.
so I guess there is no excuse for my measly gem farming :-)
And.. e52? you can do better than that can't you? o.O
I haven't tried to run a normal adventure with my current favor for a very long time. I have been growing it with Mystra/event favor and that's it. Maybe I should give it a try and actually get my e175 gold achievement. Last time I tried I ended up at e171 so maybe now I can get higher.
But in a while you'll have e200 easilly :)
early is not knowing the game
mid is knowing it but need help
late mid is you know it, and how to but you can't do it for some odd reason.
late game, you have nearly done everything you can do and you know the ones you cannot do due to the game not you.
very late game you are waiting for more content.
