Others might have other ideas though. Not sure where to use your time gate pieces, I'm sure someone else will have some advice.
EDIT: For the record my ilvls look pretty close to yours(roughly 20 average) however Jax is ilvl 145 lol, I'm planning to start gearing my other highest dps champs once he hits 150. For me those champions are Drizzt, Zorbu and Delina(though not planning to put much into Delina as she's very based on completely buff stacking her).
TG pieces: again you may hear different opinions as people have different play styles but I would first save them to get patrons unlocked and then just keep saving until you are sure you either need a hero or you need to equip a hero. For example there would be nothing wrong if you started spending time gate pieces after a year of play (once you have all even heroes you can). In the meantime I would unlock heroes that are sunset and you really need them for some reason (you already have Deekin who would be a good candidate for that). Not many sunset heroes are a must have for someone who is at wall 300. Maybe start looking into Zorbu (but it may spoil your game a bit as once you have him you basically don't use anything else)
BS contracts: just save them - you don't have heroes they would be worth spending on. You'll thank me later. Or just do what I did and dump it into your current DPS (mine was Krond). It helped me in the short time, but now I kind of regret it.
Although I like Jax, don't waste your smithies on Evergreens. Maybe too ilvl50 or something for Jax but no further, better to buy chests (gold) with your gems and you will get ilvls and more smithies (plus tokens for events) from that purchase. Much better "bang for your buck".
Notes Thus far:
1) Evergreen means any of the 12 starting champs (sometimes called "Core" not fore Corr Blimey but for your core champs :)). Evergreens are champions you can get from other means other than the regular Events.
2) Get local Blessings as soon as possible, put on the "warning" and spend until it throws up a warning at you.
Gems, gems are important and at the early stages you don't need to hoard them. Buy silver chests first until you have all blue gear then migrate to only buying gold chests and work on getting epics for all your evergreen champions. It seems like a huge task but it is really only 880 (?) or 1080 (?) gold chests - if you have the worst luck (or CCP luck :)). And each gold chests halls you items to throw at your adventures.
In game, my first goal was Azaka. She is on Tombs (the seond campaign) and really good at getting gold (and therefore favour) through Azaka's Gold Farming Strat. This is beyond your state right now, so don't worry too much about the fiddly bits yet.
Next part is what champs to get. Now I would wait (well I did) until free timegates until you are way into the 400s (at least, arguably you can wait until your hitting 8/900) to get the most out of TGs.
For a general overview:
1) There are "free" TmeGates every 3 weeks. (one this weekend). Here you get a selection 3 champs. You will always get a year 1 (or year 2) champion, you will then get two more champions that lean toward being missing in your roster but not always. This is the best way to pick up "Timegate champions" as they are called. After CNE took the decision to "retire" the oldest champions and only leaving the three most recent ones. Only some year 1's are musts and really it depends on your playstyle too.
2) TimeGate pieces drop early game really slowly. It's every 5 days or so for one piece (however you are getting timepieces through the current Summer Spec Event, so make sure you grab those) But once you get Patrons, you can get 1 per patron per week. This is how I have around 150 TGs and that was after I spent around 30ish last week.
3) Each 100 unique levels passed = a silver champion chest. So, as this feature you start with 0 favour each time you start a new TG, it is better to go in with more global power from your blessings, patron perks etc than not. To get the highest possible level you can to get those unique chests.
part 1 another coming.
DISCLAIMER: My opinion and I am a player whom focuses on speed. So in my list you will see speed + power champs taking more a dominant role. I am also bad at ash's strategy, but I'll try :)
So what I have done is listed it into categories. BTW, if you want to check list, you have 52 champs currently to catch them all. Some are Evergreens though so you could rush to get them apart from Azaka I wouldn't personally bother (yet you are a magic formation player, so you may want Ulkoria.).
So the champs who will be coming to events soon. So Don't spend on these.
Shandie - next up, speed champ.
Jim - one after next, and as a magic user, you may wish to grab
Omin - gold, gold, gold - more useful when you get azaka.
Lazaapz - debuff tank, good for click debuff strat and variants for shorties.
Turiel - magic? I don't use turiel that much, you can probably tell.
Next tailored lst to magic users for Ash's strat: (to the best of my ability)
Dhadius - magic
Ulkoria - evergreen in waterdeep, quite "deep" in.
Nrakk - wisdom buff.
Paultin - magic/gold
Alyndra - marvellous support.
I wouldn't go for these solely. Just what yo were trying to build around, they might help.
Next my list, basically some of these are musts.
Hew Maan - Must for speed
Avren - must for buffs
Krull - must for general power/gold early
Orkira - magic as well so probably should have put above, power/health
Aila - tank
Briv - speed, tank but a lot of ilvls to get there.
Sentry - speed, ilvls needed to gain the most
Havilar - speed for gem farming due to mad wizard and fiends. Good for Avernus too.
Farideh - speed-ish, fire :) Also magic so might be useful for your tactics.
Melf - speedy boy
Zorbu - DPS king.
Binwin - multi kill king
Birdsong - speed attacks
Ezmerelda - armour kill
Evergreens you need to work on:
Azaka
Dragonbait
Ulkoria
(Reya) - don't worry about her for a long time, I haven't even got her yet.
Rest: (in order - even though I sort of deleted the ones from the other lists)
Donaar
Regis
Gromma
Penelope
Artemis
Warden
Wulfgar
Catti-brie
Evelyn
Môrgæn
Ishi
Torogar
Black Viper
Orisha
Talin
Strix
Sisaspia
K'thriss
Barrowin
Stoki
Nerys
These really are the last to catch, and only really needed to say you got them all. Although I use Xander alot.

Go there, get the free loot.
They have given a serious amount this week due to their livestream day on wednesday (thursday to me). It's located in the "combinations" sub forum.
Also those are mostly for electrum chests, electrums are a very good way to gear up your champs to blue. All of them, not just your evergreens.
So it might be even good now to skip the "buying silver chests" stage and just buy gold chests.
Plus with 5 familiars already, unless you need a 6th for the distractions killing or I guess auto-click dmg levelling up, you could totally spend all those gems on gold chests.

I definitely disagree with them orders, but that's my opinion.
I would suggest going for gem farm champions (so, mostly speed), running AFK gem farms cause from there on out, you can get nearly anything.
My list would go for speed+power fr sure.
But they can still get enough gems from just completing adventures. So gems shouldn't be a problem yet.
This advice is beyond horrible. It is downright criminal. NEVER EVER use your blacksmithing contracts on Evergreen Champions NEVER EVER! It is a complete waste of blacksmithing contracts.
Non-event champions are called Evergreen champions, and to give you an example of why you don't waste contracts on them. My average level on my Evergreen Champions like Jarlaxle is 2800. My event champions its around 200. It is far better to spend the contracts on Event Champions.
One thing i didnt see mentioned (one of gaarwaars guides covers it iirc) is to unlock your first modron core (you need 2 champs for each slot, you have that almost covered) - having two parties going helps farming gems a lot. Even if you only have one champ and two familiars (one on the field, one auto lvling click damage) in one and need to reset every once in a while.
Besides that try to raise your favor each run, it makes every new run easier and will help for variants too. Dont be shy to use portions - youll get a lot from gold/electrum chests. And most important: Have fun!
Thank you for your detailed assistance and help again Old Gamer. That list is perfect ill follow that, thank you!.
Yeah I only have been doing a Magic Ashara strat just because someone mentioned it was stronger than Krond and I started doing it and found that its generally been the most dps formations I have gotten.
Yeah I use Oldgamers code list, every sunday I go through the list and put the codes in.
I will have to look up gaarwaars guide about Modron core, no idea what that is and how u can have two parties going at once... huh lol.
Yeah i use my potions, i generally have been saving up the like two top tiers of each potion. Except for the Money one, i use that to get more tokens during the events.
Ill defs work on my Blessing more and the upgrades for global, didnt really think about it impacting TGs, I have been plopping along doing the campaigns but then when i get stuck i farm blessing, but i guess i should just smash out blessings, complete one and move onto another. I guess with that comes the question...... with my current gears and champions would staying with Ashara be best for blessing farming? Looking at your list, you mention Zorbu has DPS king which I have also read and heard of before, would it be useful to try and get him early and work with team comps around him?
EDIT: I wanted to add in, with gems what about buying feats, what point in the game does that become a thing?
So who would I be saving up my black smith contracts for? Or what stage of the game will i be saving up my black smith contracts till?
There are very few feats that you really need, there may be a few that provide stats that unlock champions for patrons, there are a few that exponentially make heroes better (due to stacks / multiplicative application of bonuses) and a few that make your run go faster so those are probably useful enough. But honestly (except for a few exceptions) I would just start buying feats when you don't know what to do with gems or when you know enough about the game where you can make the decision on your know because you will understand the game better.
BS contracts - until you decide what game style fits you best and youll have most/all champions unlocked. This can take a while.
If you play actively / keep your computer running then investing in speed champions may be the best solution. If you log in once in a while and just try to push your wall then you may want to spread the contracts among the heroes that you use most.
TL;DR: really, don't worry about it too much now. Just enjoy the game, learn and later on you'll be happy that you saved up :-)
I pretty much open and play the game every day.
Keeping computer running... is there a big difference to the computer running and 'offline' progression?
