Event help+Which chests to get for event Pennants?
Hello there, given I'm still pretty much new I need some advice.
Shortly said I'm not sure which chests I should be spending my Fool's Pennants on. The choice is:
-Grimm or his buffing buddy Beadle due to being free in the event.
-Spurt
-The Dark Urge
-Last slot once opened will be Briv I imagine as it seems everyone is praising that one.

More context:
Given I started about when the event launched I have like 0 campaign progress spending all my time here thus I just have those event champs, core ones of course and that evergreen rogue from Newsletter (I already did use all promo codes I could find for tons of standard chests).
I managed to clear tier 1 on every variant and tier 2 on each 1st variant and now I'm pretty much stuck where I can't seem to do enough progress on a new run to gain any usable amount of Favor thus I might need more iLVLs instead. Thus my initial question, who to invest into?

Right now Grimm is by far my best DPS, no matter who I tried I could get the furthest with him. But I know from YT guides he and his buddy aren't that great champs on the big picture so maybe I should look elsewhere...
Spurt is a buffing station making him a bit all-purpose but is it the right way to go? I don't know.
Durge seems like the DPS to focus on given the general opinions but with the poor Roster I have his potential seems greatly limited, I can't stack Ceromorphosis at all for instance.
Briv...I'm not sure what's the deal with him exactly, something about making things go fast? I could wait for his seat and then put all my eggs into that basket.

Sorry it ended up much longer than I wished it to. Well, what should I do? ^^"

Long term, you'll get more out of Dark Urge and Briv, but Briv will require a lot of ilevels to make him fly. Grimm is best suited for fighting armored bosses, not so much as a DPS, and will eventually block a better DPS in the same seat (Laezel).

Regarding your comment about campaign progress, you need to spend at least some time on that, and quite soon. After the event ends, you convert event favor into campaign favor, at a percentage per e#. There's only a few days from the end of the event before you'll be force to convert. Zero campaign progress will mean zero bonus favor.

edit:
On further consideration, I'd say don't worry too much about which chests you buy. You won't get a lot out of your first couple of events, while you're still building your roster. If Grimm is working for you right now, go with that. Come back to DUrge and Briv in a year when you're better prepared. Meantime, remember that Beadle and Jarlaxle are most of your gold find bonus right now, so keep them in formation.

Keeping Jarlaxle in the pushing formation is actually counterproductive unless he is the main DPS of that formation because he does not buff other champions.

OP has been playing for less than two weeks and has trouble with favor growth. What would you suggest?

Push with somebody else, and farm gold separately with Jarlaxle.

Standard procedure: Save two formations, one for pushing, and one for gold farming. Switch between them as necessary. Keep in mind that for gold farming Makos should be in his gold spec and using his ultimate attack to kill enemies.

Thanks for the pointers guys!

Looks like what I should really focus on is some campaign so that tier 2 worth of Favor doesn't get wasted ^^"
Given I don't have enough supports to properly fill up a formation I do have a slot where either Jarlaxle or Minsc sit in depending on do I want bigger gains for quicker levels or more easy enemies to proceed faster, But yeah with this small roster I can have all gold buffing things in the same pushing formation (at least in those 10-slot event formations) (Looks like Arkhan also has gold buffing item btw.). Ofc except Makos as I prefer the buff, haven't attempted the Bombing farm thus far, something to remember ^^

I do have another quesiton though, about Grimm.
So if his primary use is to break shields and not so much DPS then how does it look like where an adventure has lots of shielded enemies? I mean, is he then used as a DPS or he sits next to the DPS also soaking the same buffs? (breaking shields requires certain amount of dmg, right?) Or do you just swap him in whenever needed? Or have I misunderstood the first reply? ^^"
He's certainly a bit confusing with having 4 roles assigned and guides I found didn't quite explain how to use him properly...well possibly because he's new/reworked ^^".
