Prequest for Wren
Part 1 of unlocking Wren is seriously such a pain. Having to choose from an extremely restricted pool of champions every 100 wave is not fun. Saving Durge for the final stretch of the levels. I breezed through 600 to 700 with Artemis. Gotta find a good setup for the remaining 200 waves today after work. Even with ilv 2k Evergreenies, I feel like this mission is way too hard and I'm putting barely a dent into bosses. Especially that damn level 5 boss. Seeing as how annoying the normal version of this mission is, I dont wanna experience doing it again with patrons active. Feels like in order to get through it smoothly, you need to recreate the supersoldier serum and make your whole roster super. I really hope they won't reuse the same quest for part 2 with even more restrictions e.g. "Every 50 levels your units become unuseable."

"Every 50 levels your units become unusable."
That's probably what they'll do.
With barely 60 champions available for Elminster, that would make it close to impossible unless you'd have enough favor to click-kill through it.

Even at normal, right now, I wouldn't get through the evil part if I had to do it twice.

"Don't bother" for me. z900 I MIGHT do with my A-team, which I won't have. I did a dry run, made it to z300 where the lack of eligible champions dropped my DPS to the point I wouldn't get further. Some day.
You cannot control champion availability. You can control your click damage. CNE just forces newbies to invest their favor conversions into FW.
I'm at e47 favor and it isn't nearly enough. It's not just click dmg but also being able to level all to their soft cap without waiting three weeks because of the gold restriction.
That's why I leveled it up to e85.
Well, I feel like an idiot now...
I totally forgot about favor for that campaign. I'm sitting on e39, so I feel ya Flooz.
@kab_reg if the 50 variant is coming, I already know that I wont even bother trying it.

Edit: 700-800 feels like heaven. Got access to Catlady, Nrakk and Gromma. Makes it so much easier. Got Valentine and Durge benched for the final stretch. Wish me luck mates!

Vajra and Zariel variants were relatively easy. I'll try Elminster variant on Sunday after getting Wren. The most unpleasant one will probably be Strahd variant due to his constant problems with tanks.

Elminster lacks two Neutral Good tanks. One can be pulled by DM, and Wren can substitute the second one.

If the new one is going to be 50/50/50... it might be possible depending on how many of the early stages one can do with only one champion.

I did the normal 0-300 using only 3 so, with some luck, I might do 0-300 in the new with only 6. That might open up some options later on.

Same here. Was able to do the first couple 300 with three champions. After that, the boss from level 5 gets way too annoying and hits way too hard :(
Also I did it...
Finally it's over for now. Though 800-900 was easy as hell thanks to the available champions. Krux, Birdsong, Nrakk, Durge, Barrowin, Valentine and if all things would go sour, I could still stack Umbertos buff to 150.
I'm amazed they did backtrack on the tryhardness of that new variant. Sounds a lot less annoying now than when it was introduced. May even bother giving it a try if/when I get bored of Fallout London.
I'm doing the last version right now; Strahd which is a bit annoying but all the rest is EZ-mode.

Huh?! Never heard of FO London!
@Flooz Atleast we both did it the OG way the first time :D We can pat ourselves on the shoulder!
Fallout London is a mod that puts all of FO4's DLCs to shame. So of course Bethesda wanted to shut them down, but then GOG saw the chance to profit on that, and it got released as a "standalone but not really" Fallout 4 mod (still needs the player to have FO4 installed.) I'm not too keen on GOG's advertising of it - to anyone who doesn't know what it is, the game sounds like a whole new game, not a conversion mod, but false advertisement from GOG isn't a surprise by now.

Anyhow, the mod is fun, with the same frequent crash issues unmodded FO4 can have (because no stability mods work with it,) but otherwise enjoyable, moreso if you find a way to "break" the main quest so you don't have to go through Tutorialville. It involves doing something the mod makers either didn't expect anyone to do, or didn't mind people doing.

My save apparently has twenty hours and I found about it two days ago, so I suppose I should say I am enjoying it. >_>

Greedthesda at their finest, it would seem. Reminds me of the move they recently pulled off with that space game. Gotta admit that I haven't played FO4 too much, even though I liked the heck outta New Vegas. Enjoy your mod, mate!
