This is a common bias from them. They have created a thing that didn't work, but rather than simply remove it, they prefer to let it there useless but present because they've invested time in designing it and think they'ld have lost that time if they trash the whole thing otherwise. But invested time is already lost wathever they do.
It's the same thing that happen to us when we watch a bad show or bad movie (who said play a gotcha game?), sometime you continue till the end even if you don't like it anymore because you've started to watch it anyway and feel you'll lose that previous watching time if you quit (althought in fact what you'll lose is the future watching time not the previous).
I also beat a lot of games just because "played until here, might as well justify all that time I wasted by continuing to suffer this." Starfield was the most recent example of this. A trainwreck of a game with a very obvious plot and predictable ending(s) but I had already wasted ten hours in it when I figured out what was going on, might as well finish it before uninstalling it.
(if it's correct), I opened 79 chests and got 143 vials (127 +1 prism spent) which brings the average return on 1.8 vials/chest.
T10 has 5.5 chest on average so I've been running a loss of about 4.
From what I read on Discord, it is barely sustainable so it should be around 2.35/chest. That would require a 6 chest drop too.
I guess if CNE will bother to introduce extra levels in ToMT, it will gift a few more for the occasion.
On top of that; I've just been doing Elminster "Never split the party" and at 750 I needed to go back to load BUD and all I got each try was a black screen forcing me to close and restart.
I'm so tired of this amateurism. It's as if stamping "free game" on it excuses this sort of trash.
"Early Access" is an excuse to get money for an unfinished product, for more than one decade in some cases. It's a shield behind which way too many inept and lazy developers hide, often helped by a horde of rabid cronies.
"DLC" is an excuse to charge more for the same product (unfinished or otherwise) and usually the contents of the DLC will be already in the files you first purchase, but blocked. And in many cases, the contents blocked would make "Horse Armor" look like a massive content pack.
"Retro" is, at times, an excuse for developers who don't want to actually utilize a computer's full capabilities - something many of the games they pretend to emulate actually did, thirty or forty years ago. There were games with voiced lyrics and save files, released thirty or more years ago, "retro" developers. What's your excuse for not having them (and many other things your "retro" games are missing) in a game released in 2020+?
And the "free" tag for games, sadly, enables "it's free STFU!" chants from a lot of proto-gamer proto-hominids.
A Venn diagram of people who would defend any of those labels without second thought, and people who are severely lacking in the IQ department, would be a circle.
edit: typo
I still got a couple of prismatics but I think I'll rather do T9 at the max. 5 chests with an entry fee of 11 will limit my weekly loss at the very least by 3.
I'm doing a T8 so tomorrow I cash in that too but it ain't going to double.
