Where do I start ?
Hello, the game seems rich and full of options/secrets , possible build , where i should start ? How do I find a path to get stronger/more efficient, I don't know how to make significant progress at all. I've been casually playing for some time now. Anyone care to share an idea/source of information please ?

If you're really brand new, my advice is not to bother too much with an "optimal path" or powerbuilds or whatnot. Just sit back and enjoy the ride. Do some campaigns and if you find something too hard, try another one. Just make sure you at least unlock new heroes when the next event starts (in 12 days from now).

Anyway, this guide is pretty good at explaining the baby steps and beyond:

You'll get better naturally as you play. The game is huge, so take your time and don't try to go for 'the best formation' right away, because you won't be able to.

Play the adventures from the beginning, don't hesitate to skip some if they're too difficult for you right now, you can come back to them later. You should focus on growing your favor and unlocking the evergreen champions (evergreen refers to the base champions that everyone can unlock simply via playing). You can get one by subscribing to the newsletter, if you haven't already done that, and the newsletter also gives you a weekly code for a chest.

There are several guides out there that gives you advice on how to start the game and also explains the mechanics. Personnaly, the guides I found most useful are the ones done by Gaarawarr on Reddit : https://www.reddit.com/r/idlechampions/wiki/index/resources/gaarawarr/

You want to especially read the ones for new players : https://www.reddit.com/r/idlechampions/wiki/index/resources/gaarawarr/#wiki_introductory_guides, the Guided Tour especially : https://www.reddit.com/r/idlechampions/comments/103gzdv/gaarawarrs_new_player_reference_a_guided_tour/ as well as the ones explaining how to obtain the Evergreen champions : https://www.reddit.com/r/idlechampions/wiki/index/resources/gaarawarr/#wiki_guides_to_obtaining_evergreen_champions

But, all in all, the one rule is to take your time. It's a game of patience when you're just beginning, so take it one step at a time.

Just follow the main missions, Don't worry about the varriants. Keep going and going and going till you unlock dritz. By that point you should have a much better idea of what the game is all about. Feel free to try a variant on occasion, but honestly i skipped most and didn't do them till i had a much larger roster as they have lots of limitations so you end up skipping missions from time to time.

As you do that, do what ever pop up event comes along as best you can, and unlock the free time gates and heroes that come along.

also, head on over to guides page and look up the chest code guide and add those. You need to do it twice a week to not miss any as they expire, but once a week gets you about 20 if you don't feel like doing it more often.

also sign up for the e-mail, you will unlock a hero, and they send you a code for a free chest once a week. I add these a couple times a year when i clean out my junk mail list.

That's not true anymore. CNE changed their stance on the subject.

So that's why the extra text on the patron shops was suddenly gone. Doesn't affect me anymore (have all the champions released to date,) but it's obviously a move by a man named Richard.

The text is there in the patron shop, weirdly enough. I could have sworn it didn't show up for some of the champions I already owned.

Either patron skins still unlock certain champions, or CNE screwed things up.

I think anyone who's suffered my comments long enough knows which one I'm thinking is more likely...

Some skins still unlock appropriate champions, some don't. For example, Red Panda skin from Avernus variant does NOT unlock Alindra. There was a small scandal related to that skin about two years ago.

Not as often as before. CNE also disabled all permanent codes they released earlier.

Are all CNE employees named Richard? Because that's an absolute "Rick" move.
