1 Epic per 10 chests is the minimum, (due to the pity timer), the long-term average is closer to 1 in 6.
That's definitely an improvement. Now if they could just address the disconnect between earning scales and actually being able to use them (since only epic items can be upgraded to legendary, and running Trials does nothing for getting epics), I'd say most of the games more significant progression issues are mostly resolved. There'd be a clear path, from start to finish, for every champion, adventure, variant, patron, etc. Events 2.0 helped lay the groundwork. Just some minor tweaks left. Like maybe a chance for timegate piece(s) from Trial chests.
That would be quite helpful. So it's not going to happen. //Pessimism is just applied realism.
z1000 is plenty without the additional restrictions.
That's not really motivating. It builds character I guess.
Since this game is mostly just "leave it on while you play real games" though, it would take some incredibly huge downside for me to get 'demotivated.' Can't get demotivated when there's no motivation anyways. Just like Steam itself or my MP3 player, ICoTFR is just a program I start and leave running because "why not."
I don't get too invested into something that's basically an interactive screensaver.
