How do you save the game?

Or...*When* does it save?
I keep having an issue where ill log in, do something, and log out. And it doesn't remember.
I'll even wait till a wave is over but that didn't work.

In my case it was wave one. I set all my familiars up and logged out once it started wave two. When i logged back in none of the familiars were set and it was dwarf guy walking wave 1 as if I had just began.

Is it just jankey? Because it kind of destroys the purpose of the idle game if I have to keep waiting for it and i'm never sure if its staying up to date

It should autosave after every boss zone, but "Save and Quit" in the options menu will save and close the game at any time.

Is your placed formation all that's resetting or are the champs becoming unlevelled too?

Ty. Its just going back to wherever i left off, or not registering the upgrades I do before I leave.
It very well could be different since I am on my ps5 (didnt think of that), but when I open the menu its
resume
controls
changelog
settings
credits
support

I actually don't see a way to close it without just turning the app off.
If you say boss waves are a tick, perhaps i can try to see if that works better. Although on certain stages that could be more time than i wanted to use. Sometimes i just check it during my work breaks.

Update: i found a reddit post that says save and quit doesnt exist on playstation but it saves after every wave. If this is true it may just be inconsistent

There is an old glitch, which resets active party (and sometimes other parties as well) when one of the background parties is reset by its core.
