My thoughts and best tips on the modron cores
My previous wall was about e33 favour given some good weekend buffs and time for favour gain, Anything more is just painfully slow and not worth getting :P

In theory the new weekend gold find buff would bring you to e37-38... perhaps e40 with some effort... I'm not even close to having my core high enough leveled for it and I'm only at 90k gems (I had a habit of dumping into gold chests and had spent a ton just before the beta thing so to scratch on that)

So they are very very powerful, once you've dumped half a year into grinding their levels :P

What I've found from Modron cores is that the absolute BEST piece is the
4 section one that has 3 inputs and one output...

It has a secret function that when all inputs are used it becomes a 333.3x multiplier... Yeah it can be annoying to get those inputs all active but wowzers when you do.. throwing 26-30 output

*Purple - Directed Cross component - 1 out* <<< out left and the other three are >>> ins

Now I've tried with other directed components with 1 output (2 in one out) and didn't get a bonus, don't have another purple 4 section 1 out to test on those too.. perhaps they need to be pushing into another unit? I've seen them offer +100% when used so not sure why the one I have wouldn't

I also have a purple 3in/1out, though unfortunately the output is in a more annoying position (up). If you get all 3 inputs going, yes, it's 333%. 2in T's also do give a bonus, though not quite as big--50%.

It goes 10% -> 100% -> 333%, or 5% -> 50%.

One thing I find kinda confusing is the alt text on them:

"2 inputs trigger a modifier bonus of 45%. Flow receives a 50% modifier..."
"2 inputs trigger a modifier bonus of 90%. Flow receives a 100% modifier..."
"3 inputs trigger a modifier bonus of 323.3%. Flow receives a 333.3% modifier..."

That woulda been an overkill :D
(There's many that don't even have an X-piece, let alone a 1-out one)

Yeah got 5 purples

First 4 chests or so spit them out, I figured it was a 1/3 chance for purple and then I looked and was like 1 in 10? phooey I say, guess it makes up for the tons of times I get to 10 champion chests before getting one :P

I got 2 purples outa the 15 chests so I'm on schedule.
It feels like even champions, all epics come @ chest 10 and land on ultimate slots :D

The maze does get harder the more you expand it(assuming you want to maximize the bonuses along the way-well duhh). I think alot of players may be underestimating this grind.

You must have very exact pieces in many spots to get all bonuses and continue. Granted there are infinity ways you could go, but most nodes will require a 3-way T since you dont have room to connect too many of the nodes with 1-way pieces, plus you must split to continue. Assuming we all exactly equal at building the maze, it just straight up boils down to RNG. Ts are a must, you likely could actually finish the maze without a 4 way.

For those thinking this will be easy on your resources (patron gems), think again! Unless you get real real lucky. Also levels go real slow 2-3 days already at level 5 and up. Levels 10-15 will likely take 1-2 months for those 5 levels combined, for most players as a rough average to complete.

To Phantom: Sounds like your 4-way, 3 in, 1 out piece IS the golden piece! :)

If the progression increase rate remains constant (+4k levels needed each core level upgrade), I believe that you will need to complete 60k levels in order to reach the 15th and it will have amounted to a total of 476k levels completed.

It's strange that they have not included a real € $ option to unlock core levels, based on the amount of impatience and frustration that it will create.

Not all purchasables have been unlocked during beta, might be there when the beta expires / is implemented.

I guess I am lucky to have two directional Ts with two inputs and one output after my first week of modron automation.

I'm not the most lucky, but I guess not the most unlucky either.
I can pipe any 2 buffs to >4 (960% for azaka farm, some bonus damage for patron) and that with only a level 6 core.....
