Any tips for Quick time gates, lvl 800?

Im curious if there is something i'm missing about trying to get these done a bit quicker. I've tried a few different things, but it still seams like i need to do about 4-5 resets in the free play, though it does seam like running the variants farther i was actually finishing quicker.

Basically they are taking like 2 days. I tried running gold potions to go further, but then unless you use them again it doesn't really seam to help.

So, what are some tricks to get them done quicker so i can get back to the main game?

Honestly...don't bother pushing your to your hard wall. Time gates have awful conversion rates, so the favor just isn't worth pushing super deep, and the extra silver chest or two you'll get just can't make up the difference.

Time gate favor, like seasonal favor, is a 'relic' of the old favor paradigm before players spent 90% of a given favor on a single legendary upgrade, and is in desperate need of an overhaul to reflect this new reality.

I'm just trying to get to 800 so i can grab chests. I can get there, but i just want to know if there is a better strat on when to reset, so i can reach 90 gold quicker to lvl the characters.


also, i read something about a skill that gives you two chests? I can't recall much info about it, anyone know what i might be thinking of?

What Formation are you using ? Do you have all the Champions ?

There's a blessing that gives you a chance of obtaining two chests every 100 levels. I think it's a divine blessing, but it could also be a Patron perk. I don't have the client open right now to check.

It's T7 global perk from Mirt.

IIRC, the ceiling for a basic party is around z1000. Almost all extra power later comes from cores, blessings/perks and legendary items.

Since a new Timegate starts with 0 favor, for the first z50 adventure, you might like to load the formation full of your best gold-find champs and run it to their wall. Speed+Gold pots optional.

That way, when you reset the first time, you'll have an E(double digit) Mystra's favor to complete the z75, Variant & Free Play with. Makes it a LOT quicker.

well i thought maybe just doing freeplay resets it might go quicker, but that was not the case at all. So i tried just pushing as far as i could in each of the missions and then i just had to do 4 total missions which i can do in under 24 hours if i have the time to reset it.

I will try a gold find party.

In general, it will become MUCH easier once you get fully leveled Speed Core and a good speed party.

well with One more gate i will be able to unlock my third group! This week i noticed i had enough time pieces to do 3 gates which were the slots i had open, I added Deekin, though i'm not sure i understand how he speed aspect works because it doesn't seam to go any faster at this point. he doesn't have any gear. I'm doing stoki now and she gets a gold bonus, but i'm finding it hard to stack the Chi, it seams to vanish really quick. Perhaps gear helps this? i should be finished this evening and starting my last later tonight.. I forget her name but its the elf Babarian tank and then i can do the unlock mission, Yippy!.

But onto the cores, how do you get that speed core?

Did you have Widdle in your formation with Deekin? Because that particular speed buff caps quite easily, and Widdle can cap it all by herself.

Stoki is actually a bad choice. She is rather mediocre both as a buffer and as a gold find champion.

You will get Speed Core by clearing Split the Party 2.

Well i used some tips and they really helped out.

I used a bunch of gold boosting party members, then i used an epic, large and 2 medium gold boosters. This let me run the first mission to z450, Then i did it again and reached 700. (with the formation and lesser season buffs sometimes i couldn't get this one to 800, but 700 was enough.) the time gate i did before it the formation let me push to 800, and basically i did the same thing, only it took 3 tries because i didn't use as many potions. but for this one it only took twice because of the extra gold find. I then just did the last mission and i was done. It took less than 8 hours. I did use an epic speed and large in each run as well.

So i think this will be my new plan going forward and it's much easier than how I've been doing them in the past so thanks a bunch! This is far better than how i was doing it over 2+ Days

figured i'd update this post, I picked up another gold find character or is it two? I also now have a core that has a 480 gold boost, I can now to time gates in a single try. My latest gates i also hit area 900 so i'm getting an extra chest.

This is the gold find party i'm using, though i need to check everyone to see if there are some other options, i know i have stoki too, and might be another gold person worth using that i didn't realize i had.

but anyone, these are so much less effort now. i didn't realize i could boost gold so much. Just over a month later i can now push a gate in one try. So the gold find tip really helped a lot.
