what do?
Did the first handful of adventures and now everything is marked as "deadly" . I got the free stuff so I have some characters and items but still, whats the next step to progress? thres like 540 adventures i figured it would justbe one after another, am i really at a grindwall after only 5 adventures or am i missing something?

any beginner guides on what to do? i googled a bit but theyre still confusing.

who should i "buy" with my first 6 timegate stones (i have 9) to make my early progress fast?

"deadly" "fair" or "easy" only take into account how much favor you have earned for the campaign. You can still complete it, sometimes easly even if its 'deadly',

To make more favor, do a freeplay and get to your wall, then switch to gold find formation and ult to make more gold/favor (I assume you dont have Azaka unlocked).

I think best first buy would be a speed champion, but im not competent to say which will work best at begining, some require many levels on items.
Some1 else would probly advice to do 'split the party' asap, which reqiures 2 characters in each slot iirc.

Just follow along the sword coast adventure and do the main plays, not the variants. as you move along a bit you can go back and do the variants. They typically have you going further. Just see if you can progress to the finish of the adventure, feel free to try the next one.

the variants can be harder because of limits in them, but you can go back and do them at any time. For example you can skip every single variants for months and just unlock the new areas and go back. It doesn't really matter when you do things.

That said, i'd probably just keep going and unlocking new areas as you will get to unlocking dritz fairly soon if you do that. He is a decent as a DPS character for a party.

I know people like to say split the party, but that takes a lot of ulocking of characters, don't worry about that. It took me about two months to get to that and i was playing the game a lot. There is zero rush on so many of the things and there is a lot that you can get over whelmed.

I wouldn't start doing time gates outside of your free ones that come along for the time being., Unless there is a hero you really want. But you also might want to look ahead to see what is coming in the next 6 months, the game gives away lots of characters, and does it every couple of weeks.

However, it is recommended to get key speed champions for your second party because they are the key for a steady gem income.

Be sure to check this guide for free codes. I add um about twice a week and it gives you lots of electrum chests which give gear to any hero you own. I've been making sure they at least have a slot filled with every piece of gear before i open their own hero specific chests. I think some folks say wait till it's all blue, but for me that is way to long. I just let them get at least all filed, then i'll open silvers for them, and then their golds. Scroll down too, there are a few starter pack codes that i think are still active as well.

But after thinking about it a bit more, i still say just hold on for them a bit for the main reason that you will get some free characters in rather short time, on top of the 5 you just got for free.

Check this link for the up coming character events, One is starting today, and another the 27th, so basically twice a month they add 3 characters through an event. Use the chart to help plan which gates you want to unlock. Meaning, if you really want a character and it's coming soon, maybe pick something else.

It will help you plan who to pick to help you build your second group as who you should unlock in the free gates and if you just want to add a new hero by spending 6 Pieces.

The game works around a main DPS player doing the most damage, and then you try to use the other characters to tank/protect, heal and buff that main DPS. I know it sounds kind of strange, but it's how the game works. while it helps having them all do damage of course, you want to have most trying to buff, and then add speed/gold to help you get farther and sooner.

Gwaars guides to all sorts of stuff are especially helpful when trying to choose the next character when you get a free time gate (as they will give you three option) so you can learn what the hero does, what seat they are filling and how the work.
