What is an idle game anyway?

This is a D&D game and I'm a sucker for anything bearing that sweet sweet ampersand, but what even is this type of game?

You can play it semi-actively and progress faster or it can run in the background/offline. When you start it'll need more attention and progress will be slower but over time it automates itself to a large degree.

Sure it is.. You set it up and let it idle away. It's a more complicated one from another i playd but still it's an Idle game.


Op, it is a bit of a time sucker for sure even if your just semi active,, Sure you can get by with 5-10 mins a day, but it can take a lot more than that if you let it. Granted time counts will bloat big time if you let it run in the background online, you can stop it and let it go off line though.

At the price of losing your gem income almost completely. High level speed party can clear 700+ areas in less than 5 minutes while in offline mode it will take several hours.

its a awful game. don't bother. still can't get over how expensive it is if you buy all the DLC. its the biggest waste of money i've seen on steam to date.

i tried it out on epic, hoping to enjoy the drizzt character as a nostalgic return to when i read the books as a kid, but drizzt has been so trashed by their creative team, he's the worst fighter of the bunch, impossible to use in any party serious about DPS.

but thats just my disappointment on that character. in general the game concept is also an OCD time waster, trying to extract even more coin off you via micro transactions, that they didn't already get with their ridiculously priced DLC.

How did a what is an idle game turn into a rant about pricing, which it's a single player game that's free that you really don't need to spend a single dime as so much of it can be earned in game. If you don't like the game, move on there are 20k+ games on steam that you could enjoy.
