Kas the Bloody Handed bug?

Is anyone else having issues with the number of relentless undead spawning in Kas the Bloody Handed stopping the normal spawns from happening?
I have had several times where my active party wont advance (stuck on 23 of 25 kills, with no new mobs spawning), but when I go back to a previous area then restart progression it works and I can continue... for a while anyway, then a future area, I see the same issue.

Yes, switched party and left it to sort itself out

It's better to run such glitchy/problematic variants in offline mode.
