his ability to make a type of enemy take extra damage is uber helpful
you just pick the enemy type that most often appears for that run and then use him to get high bud hits followed by fire potions if you wanna push
I don't use him as dps I use him as support
Yes he is useful in certain situations - basically what Phantom said + I would advise that if you are at a certain level which you want to repeat over an over again (either completing a quest for certain enemy type or you are just earning gold/blessings at a high level and letting the game run, his skills of damage vs an enemy type and spawning extra units can be very helpful.
I suggest these three levels to run repeatedly once you have the blessing that humanoids drop 25% more gold: Grand Tour - Unearthed Evil, ToA - Exploring Port Nyanzaru and Waterdeep - Nimble Escape.
Later, he will help you increase Zorbu's lifelong favored enemies, making Zorbu one of the best DPS in the game.
Side note: going with krull over minsc/shandie seems to lessen this tactic and makes it further than minsc+ultimate. However minsc should be a great boon to ALL players that do not have krull and will remain good if another support comes out that uses BUD to switch out Krull with.
And yes. Like phantom said, ONLY play levels whereas ALL or high 90% of enemies falls under the double dip of both minsc and zorbus favored enemies skill. I.e. templers camp in tomb of annilhaltion perfectly fits this for maximum dungeon floors progressed.
Have fun
I usually use shandy to wall then krull to go further and minsc stays with because up to the 500 soft wall hes not needed to make progress but has that extra enemy thing that slightly speeds you up
I'd say dragon and demon, but I'm unsure in the context of this game.
Does Minsc buff against them with beast or monstrosities?
