Basically you need to put in the 5 champions. Level just to unlock synergy. Let them get to their soft wall at their lower level. Bump a few levels before they stop. Repeat. Trick is to gain as much synergy before completing the level. This one will require some babysitting to do the incremental wall push.
[After checking my current quests...]
It seems that while doing the 5 times at area 201+ event offline last night, it also completed that synergy quest for me. I had a setup with familiars on all 5 of the Aerois champions.
Oh well... But if I had to do this manually I would probably have skipped it.
I do know that Lucius' ability is very helpful for it with the +100% bonus it has
Yes. Turn off auto-progress and open Nova's 'formation buffs' info (because Nova has Aerois synergy at the top of the list of 'outgoing' buffs). Only advance areas once the combined stack total reaches 500. If you have all Aerois 5 champions present, that should take about ~30 seconds or so per area. It is best if this is done without click damage high enough to kill anything (that impedes stack growth). Or you could swap click-damage familiars in and out and have firebreath potions do the heavy lifting.
No, I believe you stop gaining stacks once the level requirement is met. The idea I used was to get to your wall (remove your core) and just teeter at your wall where it's taking a little while to end the area. Just keep upgrading enough so they can clear the level, but not clear it too fast. This quest is not one you can set it and forget it. Going to have to babysit it in one form or fashion.
