Actually both Makos and Farideh are from Forgotten Realms and they're indeed Warlocks, while Strix is a Sorcerer from Dice, Camera, Action.
Yes.
I hope not cause it kills one of the purposes of the game itself (being D&D at least): different races cooperating for one common goal while overcoming personal weaknesses. And before people calls this "SJW stuff" remember that even Tolkien (who's been in WW1) had the same thing in mind almost 100 years ago.
