Never fail team
Is there such a thing as a team/formation that will always get through a level, even if it takes an hour? I'm thinking if such a group does exist it would have D'hani and/or Corazon.

For non-boss areas without any ranged attackers: Selise as a tank with Wis +1 feat + Nrakk + Jim. D'hani is trash, and Corazón without a good BUD setter is useful only against enemies with non-armored segmented health.

There is no such thing as a never fail team. If the fight takes really long even non-boss enemies will get their damage multiplied until even the best tank dies. And of course they can stack up to 100 enemies at a time. There are 3 to 4 tank builds that can take that for a time but even they can't take it forever.
So all you can do is push your wall up with your best formation.
If it takes you more than a few minutes to beat an area, it's time to have a hard long look at your formation or tactics, or to just come back later when you have more blessings/gear/etc

And by "come back later" I mean, just complete the adventure and go do something else instead.

That's not true. Selise with Wis +1 feat boosted by Nrakk is completely immune to melee attacks, therefore she can tank even 100 regular enemies with 10,000x enrage multiplier. Since such enemies are not immune to Jim's chickenification attacks, it wont take that much to clear non-boss areas without any ranged attackers.

so basically you said that there is no never fail team because ranged attackers kill her? With 2 front liners there is Turiel, but how do you tackle campaigns with 3 front liners?

But technicalities aside, I will look into the Selise build. At least for the campaigns with only one tank that may be an option for certain problems. Thank you for the hint.

Who said you have to fill all three front slots? The team described above has lots of limitations, but it's BUD- and healing-independent. In its minimum form it needs only 3 champions, Jim, Nrakk and Selise. Add Briv (preferably 4- or 9-skipping one), Hew Maan and a few other filler champions, and in some cases you can Jimothy all the way to z2000 in freeplay missions. Good luck doing it any other way without Jimothy or high level Krond or Artemis team with ilvl well past 10k.

because Jim can't chicken bosses, can he?

basically this is an alternate method to click meta and you won't get farther than with the clicks. In the end you need as many special champions as you need in the click meta. I see no real advantage there from a progress view.
Nevertheless, as I said, it sounds fun to try and I certainly will. thank you for the link.

Depending on your favor and ilvl values, it is not always possible to reach z2000 with click damage. IIRC, the only way to get past z2000 is by using Briv, and it's mostly pointless.

my good person, I merely got to 1050 with a lot of work, I'm far from 2000. :)

If you have 1-skipping Briv and Jim, it's enough to get to z2000 using Jimothy. However, it is time-consuming.

My own record without any major special tricks, just with a good Asharra team with Blooshi as a nuker.

oooh, that looks juicy. But as you said, there is one major problem there, my Briv jumps with 46.5%. oh, and the second major problem is that I'm just now doing my very first Tiamat Trial, so no legendaries yet. Your champions are a lot stronger than mine
So there isn't actually a team that will ALWAYS go through a zone, since there's a hard cap on the zones the game allows you to beat. Or is that too obtuse for the thread creator's question?

You don't have to do it tomorrow. I mentioned it because 4-skipping Briv is not strictly necessary for successful use of Jimothy. He is mostly necessary to skip bosses, and that is doable with 1-skipping Briv, although you will have to recharge his jumping stacks several times in a different party if you want to go all the way to z2000. Higher level parties with 4-skipping Briv can potentially do it in one go by going to ~z1200 normally, and then switching to using Briv and Jim.
