That new Aerois core

I hadn't really stopped to look at that new core. No, I don't have it. I don't think anyone would have it yet? It's like super specific to the Aerois team. Okay. Hmm.

In total, especially for the season, this can make those champions really powerful with all the season buffs and possible week/weekend buff PLUS the core. I wouldn't be surprised if the final week/weekend of the season does just that.

But, thinking out for a bit. if this is indicative of the ideas they have for seasons, what would this do for game balance down the road? They nerfed Asharra. So, focus on Artemis as your overall primary DPS? Both Asharra and Artemis do not belong to any affiliation. So, then walk through the other fav DPS champions and look at affiliation. Hmm.

Four seasons per year will take a while to get everything. Will they keep seasons centered around Affiliation? I haven't read close enough to know if they've suggested other themes. Just thinking how this is going to impact balance with this kind of approach.

I don't think there's any real reason to think they're going to stick to only affiliations for the seasons. They're obviously using it as an excuse/impetus/whatever to address issues with champions. I also don't think you're going to see a new modron core with every season - they explicitly stated they were looking to add something really special to the first season.

And I'm sure there are people with the new modron core. You can instantly buy your way to it for something like $50.

The problem is that those who really need the new core won't be able to level it up before the season ends and a new season starts. Focusing on HoA while the season still runs is a viable strategy. However, you will be forced to focus on other champions once the new season starts. IIRC, it took me about 1.5 months to level up my speed core, and I really put my effort into it.

Well yeah, very true. The decision making going on behind the scenes has obviously gone completely off the rails. I actually feel bad for some of the lower-level employees (meaning they are not part of the decision-making process) that have to keep trying to focus on the positives while occasionally slipping in the acknowledgement of the negatives as the dumpster fire rages in the background right behind them.

And the really sad thing is that seasons could have been an amazing addition to the game. And who knows, maybe they will get their acts together and make them that way at some point. But we're not at that point yet.

Second problem new core : 4 party - 5 core. Next season - new (6) core. Only if dev change something and you can use 2 core on 1 party.

This shouldn't actually be a problem. The core is not tied to the season. You'll keep after the season ends. At least from what I read on the reward page. The buffs say specifically they're only for the season. So, either play to maximize the use of those, or they're kind of wasted. You also keep the ilvl boosts and items.

The core is not tied. Some bonuses are. Ditto with your ability to focus on HoA.

It's just another core, and it's no big deal.

1) If the core is OP, then people will complain that it's a must buy.
2) If the core isn't OP, then people will complain it's not very good.

This core only boost the Aerois team, especially Lucius, which is currently "almost the best" DPS (actually, he's the laughing stock of all DPSs).

If you are feeling FOMO, buy it! Give in to your fears!
If you feel that this core will make you feel OP, buy it!
If you want to feel important by buying it, do it!

See it just this way, no one else cares if you "win", or are too OP in this game because this isn't an MMO, yet(!). I've seen people spending $1000s on an MMO, and it makes them feel better. I doubt that this game will make you OP by only spending $9.99 on one little pass, and that's fine.

As for Asharra being nerfed, the best DPS hero (but also everyone else) in this game has been changed and balanced and buffed and nerfed every so often for the last 5 years. And this will likely happen in the future too.

Do I think this core will make you OP, even if it's for only one week? I honest don't care. But for that price you get a huge amount of bottles, contracts, chests, feats and skins if you can get to max tier. Even if the core is completely useless, the pass might be still worth it for you.

But honestly, if you feel like buying this will help the devs, buy it.

(I'm not buying this pass, but that's because of a Steam issue (that might of might not be fixed), but not because of its contents.)

Offline progression doesn't work for any party other than the active party so it doesn't matter.

just so i am sure i am hearing it right the core you get from season pass reward is kept forever.

i did mot buy the pass yet was asking if it's a good investment for a person who has been playing less then 2 months i only have one core right now

Yes, if you buy the season pass AND progress enough to unlock the core, it's yours forever. That "and" part is important because buying the season pass doesn't automatically get you everything - you still need to do enough of the season to unlock Tier 10. That said, you can wait on buying the pass until later in the season when you're sure you'll be able to unlock everything to get it.

Everyone has varying opinions about whether or not you should buy the pass. Despite my dislike of many things about the pass, there is no doubt that the pass (if you do the work to get everything with it) is easily best per dollar value the game has ever offered. My issues with the pass are not about the potential per dollar value it offers.

One nice thing about the Aerois core is that it offers immediate automation (like the modest core that you get first). In other words, you don't have to level it up at all to get another core with automation. That's nice. If you like the Aerois crew and want to run them a lot, it will probably help, but it won't end up being the "best" core in the game or the one that gets used by most people.

Also keep in mind that it will be available in some fashion after the season is over (perhaps not immediately, we don't know). Hopefully for gems, but if not, definitely in something like wild offers (for real money) eventually. We know the devs are listening to the backlash and considering what should be done, but I'm sure it'll take some time for them to come to a decision.

thanks and yeah i was going to wait till i know i will be able to get it before buying don't want to buy and then find out i did not make it to the core i currently have teir 3 and almost level 8 not sure if that is good progress or not but i can play for 8 hours a day or more if i stay up a bit late.

You don't NEED to progress enough, if you're rich you can buy levels+currency.
