Ezmeralda is such a trash hero. At least I've never managed to make her work
Well, I'd agree that her usefulness is pretty situational, but armored bosses are one of those situations, and that's what you asked about...
Lately I've been working with Gazrick as his Armor Ablation ability is good vs armor. Double up with his ability if you're picking him specifically for anti-armor support. Since he's a newer champion his levels may not be what you need them to be at.
I also go with Asharra since she is multi-hit. It's not always against the same target , but if it's a boss and you can clear the regular stuff out, then everything will work against the armor stacks. You should likely have Avren in this kind of formation, so his multi-hit will help. Also, if using Gazrick he helps with Asharra Short Folk group, so easy to work into the formation strategy together with Hew Maan.
Last, Melf's ability can cause the boss to spawn with less armor. This is random, so not something to plan on. But, you're using Melf in the formation, it's could be an added bonus if it lands on that boss level.
Hey I'm sorry if it looked like i was complaining. I just don't know how to use her very well. Though that you might have a different opinion and could give me a tip or two.
I appreciate your answer to my question.
I've been trying to making Asharra work since the nerf, but I'm having very little sucess. So far my best DPS is Zorbu and I really struggle with him against armored enemies. The things is, at certain point, I begin to wipe enemies on the screen and go up the stages, but my BUD dmg doesn't follow enemies HP. So I end up with BUD dmg at 195e and enemies with over 220e HP. So my ultimate attacks don't really help against anyone anymore and I need to kill everything with attacks. When an armored boss arrives and he is the only one left on the screen, my part simply cant put the dmg necessary to wipe his armor chuncks.
Potpourri: Asharra (duh), Gromma, Makos, Havilar (she seems to offer better dps buff than Tyril even though his ilevel is much higher)
Short-folk: Deekin, Widdle, Freely, Hew Maan (will move around based on armored boss)
I'll add ing Avren and Melf as possible, favoring Avren over Melf unless I'm in speed mode.
I'm missing some power from before the nerf because I hadn't invested in Deekin much. He's been a good speed champion, but his speed isn't buffed by ilevel so I hadn't done much there. Again, it's all going to be dependent upon what you want the formation to do and which champions you have available. If you don't have enough per slot to fill 4 & 4 for Asharra bonds now, then it's going to be rough to max her power curve.
I also find Shaka's Wall of Disintegration surprisingly useful for that purpose, particularly in combination with BUD spiking.
I mean, at certain point in the game I start killing enemies with over 220e dmg but my BUD dmg stay around 195e.
So my ultimamte abilities just become useless
