These codes will give you gear and/or additional champions
Currently there's an event running, you can unlock 3 champions by reaching area 50 in the event. (Do a few other missions or use a few codes from the forum to assure victory)
There's plenty other tips/guides around but they also depend on how well you're know with the game genre.
Most recommended guide is one on reddit:
Gaarawarr's guide
For your question, it depends on your disposable income but I would say any familiar pack under 10 dollars (later on possibly as you can't use familiars yet - you have to reach level 66 to unlock I think) and the founders packs are good.
Although I haven't bought the founders pack yet. Although now they have changed one of the buffs to a potion with that same buff, I am more tempted as it leaves me a choice in when to use that buff. Rather than having to buy the pack when I know I have a week "off" to get full use of it.
(Note: the list is not meant in the chronological order, you can do some or all of the things at the same time, but it's the things you should probably be doing.)
A. You need to complete the two tutorial levels. The first is to get to area 25, and then reset and go to area 35. This can take a few hours.
B. During these tutorials, you might need to listen to chats from Bruenor that you need to click things, follow them.
C. The other story chatter during each level can be turned off in the settings, you can find that on the blue ☰ button in the top left corner. "Cinematic Speed" to "Instant" will get rid of most of the chatter. Also turn on "Scientific Notation"
D. In the ☰ menu, also select the "Newsletter" choice to subscribe to get Hitch.
E. If you got 2 free familiars, you'll find a button on the bottom half, to the right, that looks like 👇. Don't click on it yet.
F. Hold the F key to see a lot of white squares on your screen, now remember the 6 squares just above the 👇 button.
G. Click and HOLD your mouse button on that 👇 button, and drag your mouse to one of those 6 squares. Do it again for the second familiar. (A familiar will do some auto attacking for you, based on the Click Damage you have... This won't be a lot but it might save you some clicking for the first 10 levels for now.)
H. Go to the Combination Lists thread (see post above) and enter all the working codes. If you need help to enter these codes, then ask someone.
I. Most of those codes give Electrum Chests. Open those until you have at least 150 green gems.
J. Now go to the shop (the $ button in the top left corner), select Gem Items, and buy the Hand Mage familiar for 150 gems. You could probably also buy it from the familiar menu if you click on 👇.
K. Now move that familiar to one of the 6 free squares, and that should make your life a lot easier now. 3 familiars on the squares gives autoloot.
L. After doing the 2 tutorial levels, you can try any of "The Running", the current event, and unlock 3 extra champions by going to at least level 50. Or "Grand Tour" if the event is over.
Phew, this is a long list. And that just for 3 familiars.
PS. There is a lot of Hotkeys you can use. You can find it at the white H at the bottom right corner. Just put your mouse on it and it will show you a list. You don't need to click on it.
You can just hold the F key and then click left mouse to place familiars
40 codes this week (well 39 as one has already expired as they only gave us 48 hours!) which will set you up with a lot of free stuff and chests. Also, if you open a chest for a champion that you don't have yet, any stuff you get for them in the chests will be "remembered" by the game until you unlock them.
If you are not against using Epic Games Store then until Thursday (11am Eastern) there's a very sizeable free offer with a bunch of stuff they're giving away for the game. If you've literally just started...you might want to consider that as an option.
Thanks for this info.
