The item you are referring to -"clinking pauldron", belongs to the character in the 12th slot - Arkhan, - who, if you've only been playing for a couple of minutes, you probably won't have encountered yet.
Damn, this really IS confusing. I got a gear for Hew-Maan and there's his name on the card. But for the pauldrons, nowhere it is indicated that this is for Arkhan, so I sssumed it was a generic gear that can be equipped on anyone.
Now I get it. To see the gears I own : collection. To see consumable : inventory.
Geez they could have made this more obvious. Thanks again.
