running game on 2 computers
I hope someone can tell me how this works
I am planning to go on a trip and I want to leave the game running on gem farm at home (location 1). After a few days I will login from location 2 to my steam account and will try to log on to Idle Champions.
I assume this will log me off automatically (steam and Idle) in location 1 and I should have no problems with logging in in location 2?

Yes, but AFAIK the game will continue to run on your location 1 in that case. A better option is to enable Steam Remote Play (I am not sure, maybe it is on by default). That way you can start Steam on location 2, click connect and stop the game on your location 1 using remote play.

Or: I use the remote play app on my phone, I have the app installed and paired with my computer at home (~location 1) e.g. I connected to it yesterday and switched the patrons on the background cores because they were already done.

It works pretty well most of the time BUT:
-) Sometimes I just can't connect, I get timeouts and errors. Sometimes the issue goes away and I can connect again a couple of hours later., but most of the time I need to restart Steam at home to get it working again. No idea why.

-) Sometimes the game doesn't accept input. This usually happens when I restart it from the phone. I can move with the mouse, but click nothing (keyboard isn't accepted either). So, I am careful to rarely stop/start it using remote play.

Yep, that will work. I've done exactly this before. When you get home your session might still be running, but it'll say it's no longer valid and you need to restart.

I just use Chrome Remote Desktop to log into my home computer from work, my phone etc .. It works great. Plus I never kick my home client off for zero downtime.

Concur. I use VNC to command my champs, anywhere I go.
