I don't have B&G so I can't speak to their usefulness, Strix seems generally outclassed by newer Champs, and Warden is a pretty decent debuffer who can put in good work.
Improtant to note, the Champs on offer during a freebie are randomly generated per-player. I had Deekin, Omin, and a third that I didn't pay particular attention to.
B&G, along with Strix are used in click damage formations.
I like to use Warden as an extra debuffer when you are at your wall, their debuff works even if they are swapped out later.
* Always try to get champions that you don't have.
* Try to get the champions first in slots that you only have 1 champion of.
* Try to get the really useful champions like Deekin, Hew Maan, Melf, Briv and others. (Ask someone else for a good list.)
* Try not to get champions that you will soon get in the regular weekend events. For example Beadle and Grimm will be available in about 4 weeks, so you probably want to skip them.
* Try to get Year 1 champions because they won't appear in the regular weekend events.
In your case, Strix is a Year 1, so I'd probably choose her.
Beadle and Grimm - Also helpful in breaking 1000, Only good as a potential swap increase to gold find, sometimes
Warden - Solid debuff hero
IMO
Warden > Strix > B&G most of the time
Uber late game?
Strix > B&G > Warden
SuperTim gave your pretty good advice overall but let me comment
Well that's most for you so kind of irrelevant but indeed, until you have all the champions always use TGs to actually unlock new champs
Very good advice to help you unlock Automation in this game.
Very good advice - there are certain heroes that can help you when you are a new player more than others.
Pretty solid advice. As the cycle is kind of yearly then if you are going to get a hero in an event anyway soon, you may as well unlock another one.
Kind of - you started to play this game quite some time after launch and some heroes are already sunset (don't appear as unlocks in events). The issue is that it's not only year 1 but actually most of year 2 as well. I would really not worry about this now, you will not catch up sunset champions via free time gates anyway and quite a few of the sunset champions are actually crap so just focus on getting the champions you want and need and don't fall into the trap of taking a champions just because it's sunset
My advice would be to take B&G as they are the best of the 3 heroes (not sure why people claim otherwise :-) ) but because B&G will come in an event soon its between Warden and Stryx. Warden is a slightly better hero imho. especially because Stryx is a DPS hero and you probably should not be using a slot 11 DPS any time soon. Actually Warden is already sunset too so both Stryx and Warden need to be unlocked via Time Gate.
TLDR: my advice is Warden, but in those 3 you can't really go wrong. Good time gate :-)
I would grab Strix myself, tho not as great as ever been still a good champion which you can only unlock through the timegate.
Not taking the possibility to unlock in mind, I would take B&G.
Good for (de)buffs and gold find.
About Warden, he's not bad but unlucky to be outmatched by the other choices.
Either that or Warden. Because Warden is great :)
