Artemis and Cores

Unless I missed one, I believe Artemis is the only DPS (And champion, overall) that can benefit from every buff within a core. He might not be the best one out there, but this definitely helps move him towards the top.

Comparatively, Zorbu has 4/6 ability buffs (5/6 with a feat), and a few others are at 5/6 as well.

This is good news for using him on Strahd for those of us who do not have Zorbu's +INT feat.

But even then, Jim is pretty much the Strahd DPS (especially with Gromma tank). However, Jim is only 3/6 for 13+ abilities. So it can certainly come close.

DPS yes, champion no
Tyrill and Dragonbait also have all stats 13+ (I believe that's what core bonuses start from)

Sounds like they would all work for any challenges and variants that can't have DPS champions.

If you use heroes with DPS/Support tags it usually helps as Artemis gets buffed directly + he steals the buffs as well. In the end I was able to build formations where Artemis was buffed like hell - but the sad thing was that if I just replaced him bu another DPS hero then it would outperform Artemis. So even in a formation specifically build for Artemis around DPS/Support heroes he is crap.

That much I figured out, but he's still falling behind so deep.
I tried some example formations I found online, at the cost of e30 BUD

Where if I make a support only (no DPS in there) formation, I lose e05 BUD only.

@Noeh23: Exactly my issue. I know the premise to get him to work, he just doesn't deliver for me. Lke Arkhan.
