Azaka's Farming Techniques
So, as you will probably undoubtly know, I got Azaka, wipee!

However, now how to use her?

So what I have been doing is marching on with my usual formation (DPS) and going to my wall (currently it's 280ish on Torms, 400ish on Kelevor) and then dropping in Azaka for Zorbu. Drizzt or Makos and Bruenor and Catti. Alongwith having Jax there with his hat and pyrate swag.

But, it seems to always fall a couple of levels behind the wall so I cannot farm directly against it. Is it because she's just not well geared (well Drizzt isn't either having just got him today) or am I doing something wrong?

My current formation on Mad Wizard is:

Delina - Jax (top) & Nova (bottom) - Bruenor (top), Drizzt (Mid), Freely (bottom) [sometimes insert Catti here), Celeste (top) and Azaka (bottom) then at the front Tyril

There are hordes of articles about this and even a stream recently (not that I watch them).
I kind of figured out this on my own and then read a few things here and there.
Logic is ... go as far as you can with you DPS formation. Hit a boss level. Kill the boss and all mobs except one (there are techniques how to do this or you can just try randomly). Have a second formation saved (pure Gold Find) and quickly swap it.

This means you have one mob that will never enrage and most probably wont kill you (usually one healer can secure this). Use Azaka's ulti over and over. She gets gold even if she does not kill.

Optimise gold find depending on heroes and formation you are in.

PROFIT

This is a high level overview of how you do it. If you want detailed guides you can also find them here (or reddit seems to have an active community - I don't use reddit but google shows me links). I think it's more fun figuring out the details yourself.

Does not include Omin though as it's quite old. The strategies evolve. But I guess the basics are the same.

The basics are the same and the guide is pretty clear.
For people too lazy or those who want to finetune themselves:

Step 1: Reach wall
Step 2: go to boss are
Step 3: Get mimic
Step 4: farm krull stacks (feats on spreading)
Step 5: Murder all non mimic
Step 6: Get 40+ stacks on 1 non-boss monster
Step 7: Load gold find formation and pop Azaka ult
Step 8: Profit.

Congratulations on Azaka!
Note: DO NOT turn into mimic if the mob has 20+ stacks of pilfer!

You're doing it wrong :')

Turn the mimic, then stack everything, only after all monsters are fully pilfer-stacked kill stuff (that isnt the mimic).
The quick way (getting a 20/30 stack non mimic) is possible but such a small factor of gold gained its not worth the time. (unless you can't tank the boss)

You're right, but I have that thing called "the rest of my short life" that gets in the way
Coo Coo Pigeon Aug 21, 2020 @ 12:34am
I rather do it once instead of a dozen times spending half an hour on the one time.
Especially during meetings setting up Azaka farms goes well :')

I've had bad luck creating the mimic first. Always seems to die.

That most likely means you're still killing too fast, grab 1 boss later.
If you damage the Mimic with basic attacks, you can also slap 1 single target hit ult in to make traitor take care of the rest.

What I do to prevent mimic dying:
I get to an area where the non-boss monsters need about 10-20 hits to die with 10-pain stacks & 4 warden stacks.
Stack it all up.
Shoot till first 1 dies.
Hit 20-stacked monster once for BUD.
Swap pwned in to put them in 1 lump and explode all non-mimics simultaniously.

I seen the strategy to use mini fire potion as well, just click until something explodes.
If Mimic gets 20-stacked click mimic to kill the rest
If non-mimic gets 20 stacked, click non mimic once to kill the rest

Since I have issues with targeting click damage (always seems to target what I'm not clicking on) that method fails with me.

So, after way too much effort I finally got a mimic with 30, best of all damaged, so Beadling worked. Fantastic!
Wait for Omin's obligations, trigger Azaka and...
...the tigers are just sitting there, not attacking

Restart the game, even more time spent trying to set up,Ready... go!
...the tigers are attacking the dead enemies for pity gold and ignoring the overripe mimic

Thought a few updates back fixed that bug...
Work around if kitties don't attack isn't restart, its bench Azaka, put something else slot 12 in, re-entry Azaka and meow.

@Coo: can't say that worked at all :(

Sorry to hear, did fix it for me before.
