Azaka farm. But will it work?
Hey guy's. Ling time player. Though somewhat new to the idea of azaka farm. I have not went online for tips or guides regarding the game until a couple months ago.
I have had azaka for.. I don't know how long. As with all new champions I read them and try to figure them out. But I did not see anything super special there.
Overall I have been happy with my farming, grinding and growth rates so it has been fine.

Now I see that with azaka farm people claim that you can farm up e30 or higher in each of the campaigns.
Which would be cool.
As of now I have e 22 e24 e21 e 23 in each campaign.
I get a chuck when i do TG or event, I keep getting champion chests to improve my supports. I keep waiting for a new champ each month which often times improves my party. I've always got something to grind, so been okay.

But hey, let's try applying this farm tactic. And push it up there.
I have been able to complete MANY variants. But am aware of how many I would be able to complete if I had more favor for the income.
So I have been looking into it and trying to figure it out.

Idea is, get as far as you can. To a boss wave. Single a unit out.
Got it.
More than any favor I have most times put my focus on pushing Kelemvor. Campagin 2, as it had seemed to me this is where There are majority of variants to complete. I still have a whack load in this campaign to complete on my patrons as they require high level completion while crippling my party hard. So they need a good favor boost to get me through not being able to use an ideal party.
in a fairly recent grind attempt I have been able to push up to past level 500 on "seeking allies". And even with jarl, all that I had to throw at it. I was still not even tickling my favor gains. Sitting up as high as I could where I could get kills. I would watch the gold come in. Let it sit, and still can't push my favor. So I'm thinking. What the hell. Okay, keep min maxxing. Do to it later.

Since then, Mirt gave us another Jarl gold gain boost that I know have. And I have since become aware of azaka farm!
Awesome.
So during this event, I gave it a half assed attempt.
While pushing it up I got to a max boss where things stopped. So having access to every champion I changed out my familiars to let my cast the ults on control. Set one to keep casting the azaka ult though.
I cast vlanya ult, was able to kill boss, and I got them down to 3 units on screen that were not dying or hurting me.
Before this I had went to a level before, grinded a bit with my form, saw how I would have to sit there for so long to get enough levels to kill the next boss.
But now in trying this farm. I had seen how she would cast her ult and let my guys just keep attacking at random. And gold was raining in so fast for a short period.
Enough That I could drop several upgrades and push up to the next 2 bosses. And In theory, could probably do it to a certain extent a few times.

In my party I had used the following champs.
Jarl, krull, cattibrie, drizzt, wulfgar, azaka.
Other champs too, but those for the gold formation.

From the research I have done the tactic is to single out a solo unit on a boss wave.
Besides luck, I do not know the strategy to intentionally do this. Let me know how you get it singled out.
From there, the best you can do is also have jim turn it into a mimic. Which I did not attempt, but I know is the best case to single out.
I also realized after I did not add in nrakk, but now would.
I get that the idea is to cast azaka ult which drops coin on damage. Mimics drop increased coins.
Cattibrie and drizzt are both stacking companions buffs for golf find.
Jarl is pure gold find.
krull is there for pilfer
wulgar helps contribute to companions buff due to presence but I have also read that he has another synnergy. Which I looked into and is pretty cool.
He has aunique skill where when he attacks an already stunned unit you get more gold in some way. It's either that unit is worth more, or it is increased gold find for a short duration.. I forget which but I think it is that.
So with nrakk and cattibrie, you have 2 champions contributing to stun to help this wulfgar contribute to gold find as well.

Another thing I had read and tried. Is that Stoki has a skill where when she punches a unit, that unit drops more gold when it dies. So having her punch the mimic and then swap out for jarl, her stack will persist on the unit. Increasing the coin value dropped.

the other thing I had missed was adding in regis, as he also has a gold find contribution when the party is under attack. But would this be satisfied? If the idea is to stun the single mimic am I being attack at all? being rarely attacked?

I think I have just about figured out the current best formation to use.
Also now having Melf in with the right buff due to luck would contribute to game speed.

Now. For my reality.
I can get further in a Mirt variant than without, due to the champion buffs that you get with rather than without. As mentioned, I can probably get to 520 or somewhere around there. I cannot recall if that was with a fire breathe potion or not. Would I want to avoid using that? I can use the other 4 potions just fine for a best push.
Thankfully Mirt allows best case farming. Though off hand, I am not sure if he can put in the stoki tag.

So I would think my best bet is to go for one chapter at a time and take mirt for a patron push. Even with the speed potiont spend the 4 hours to get up to my wall and start to redo the formation.
My fear though, is getting up as high as I can. With all my champions having their max upgrades. Set off the azaka ult and my patron goes nowhere..

I'm just saying. What if. It feels like I'm going to hit my wall and be at e 22 when my current max is e 24. And I set off the azaka and how long is it before I reach 100%? For me ti go a grind that investment heavy I need to know that I am goign to jump from e24 to e26 or more in a push.
When I hardly even bust my ass in an event I get over 100% gains. This is why I have been content to slow grow. When I hardly push on a TG I can still get 30-50%. I've been happy.
For a proper azaka farm. The best I could do is spend my afternoon to set it up and let it run for my overnight. So to do one chapter let's be real. I'm putting in 16 hours min with speed boost active. Is that going to push me?
I would hate to do it and not see it move.

Any other small tactics you can suggest for a mirt push, add on. I think I've researched the most current best case.

I can and have been able to grind an even to e20 or higher in that 15 day's. That's taking multiple high end pushes past the point of being able to max level my champions. Takes multiple day's of lenghty pushes. But am I just better off doing azaka farms in there to reduce that grind time? if I have e22 torm. Which has taken over a year. But I can get e22 favor in a 15 day event. Something is up there.. Am I better off hard pushing in that and turning in?

I don't know what is going to be best growth for me at this time. Seems like making some good Azaka pushes would be beneficial if I can get it to work.

So skimmed this

I use

Bruneor
Regis (Donaair swapped in for of drop)
Artemis (rogue + 25% gold find feat)
Jarlax
Pwnt
Krull
Cattle Bri (Jim swap for mimic)
Nrakk
Drizzit
Wulfgar
Azaka

Nrakk goes next to drizzit and bruneor (if you have bought the 12500 gem feat from him)
Pwnt goes next to any champion of the hall

The gold find buffs you've talked about (wulfgars attack, stoki's hit) etc according to reddit do NOT work with the azaka ultimate so don't bank on those

The way you get a single enemy left is to use fire breath, remove your familiars clicking, click down the boss (and ideally all but one minion) then swap in Jim

Jim turns it into a mimic, swap back in cattle, swap in donaair, he lands of drop, swap back in regis, make sure krull has pilfer if not use a respec, remove him and then reland him if you respec

drop your 4 different sized gold potions and click the ultimate when shes off werewolf cooldown

gold piles in

In 2 runs I can get e26 on a new event/timegate without doing a hardcore push
e31/32 is reachable doing this, it slows down at e30 to like a 100-200% increase, e31 is like a 35-50% increase, e32 you'll be seeing 5-15%

so diminishing returns

Also above e27 its not necessary to have more favour for the vast majority of things you'll not see much difference

Also of note its much more effective on weekends where you get +200% gold find buff (or two)

Currently have

E37
E30
E30
E32

Could push the others if I care but I don't see a need

From left to right

1 2 3 2 1 = 9
4 3 2 1= 10
3 2 3 2 = 10
1 2 2 2 3 = 10

aside from damage i don't see what bruenor and pwent add to the form. Artemis for more rogues on jarl passive makes sense though.

Bruenor increases the gold find as a Champion of the Hall.

Good to know.
Currently setting up a run for Tiamat.

Got full speed going to run to the top end.
Just use all these potions. And then double check my build..
and find that Azaka cannot be used with Mirt.

So awesome.
Right back to where I was before I posted this. Nobody caught that and I didn't check.

Why.
Would you run this without a patron..
When in the first tier upgrades alone you get 1k more damage With Mirt than without.
increse male champions by 1500% increase gold find by 50%.
Well. What the bleeping bleep.

So what. I'm supposed to just go raw and not even be able to get to as high a level?
Kinda the entire point of why I posted to begin with.
Yeh. Best case Mirt I can get to 500+ and farm that coin value.
But I would not expect to get within 80 levels of how high as I could get with the patron boosts.

Now I'm torn.

I either let this play out and run and get no favor gains from it on the top end and waste my potions.
Or I reset now, wasting the potions to go and use them again on a run without patron.
You know. just another 8k patron tokens worth of potions. No big deal.

So what.. I can use her with Vajra, but I don't know how full of a best case party I can get. Bloody hell. total waste of these pots.

Because you can use everyone and you'll get farther since you have all your options. Patron boni are there to make up for the fact you can't use everyone.

Check Chugsworth Guide if you don't believe me.

Artemis I use in Krulls place while getting to the wall, then he falls out of step so Krull can come in, lets me max heros quicker and stuff

Yeah I don't use them in patrons to farm, you just lose out on heros that do better than patron perks are

Sucks losing well of spoils but you just lose to many hero options

There is a pretty important thing to note about gaining favor and making progress. This is mostly for newer players.

Once you are reaching softcap (reaching the last available upgrade for the champions), gaining more favor is not really beneficial. At this point in the game, the ONLY thing that actually makes a notable difference is equipment quality and ilevels. Bascially, when you reach this point, if you want to make major progress, focus on opening chests to raise equipment levels (and increase equipment quality if you don't have all epics yet).

I disagree a bit. Getting to the cap faster is extremely useful on some of the variants, and it speeds them up a little.

I do concede it is useful to reach softcap faster for some variants. But, even then, it is only useful in a few circumstances.

And this is where I am. I still have patron variants to complete that I can barely put any ideal champions in. Cannot get my party strong enough. Still have levels to gain.
These are the ones in theory where I could be dropping higher quality coins. Possibly get a few more levels.

But as I have been doing.
Getting more support equipment upgrades. Still getting item levels on my drizzt. That is a slow grind regardless of lack of patron gain.

I don't know how profitable it will be to have a no patron run. Is it still going to push up to a hig h enough level?
It just sounds risky.

Typically on an event when I push from as high as I was. To as I as I can before gains drop off. can gain about e2. Like from e-10 to e12 e14-16. You get it.
so is that all I can expect from a farm?
Ugh.

Lost internet connection early in the evening last night.. Soo restarting up I am still gaining progress at level 440. Still moving moving with my Mirt party. Gaining +.102%
Getting more with each pass.
Heck maybe I will get lucky and get something out of this run.
ptor May 4, 2020 @ 10:16am
i got to the e30s with a few full potioned runs, no patron
I find it hard to imagine getting more gold with a patron active, I'd be happy to be proved wrong.
I honestly don't know how people survive with pwent and regis, my wulfgar falls in three pwent's ultimates if he's lucky.
By the way Krull is Nrakkable as well, not sure if it makes difference gold-wise, but can't hurt to position in range
