Strix and Haunted
Is this working as intended? I was working and put a weak party to increase deaths, yet when I put the formation back I didn't notice the buff damage increase much at all.

My DPS showed no significant increase for the 1k+ deaths that should be applied...

I expected to come back to kicking the butt after going from 30ish to over 1k...yet I am barely seeing any change. I am beating the waves, yet they aren't doing the damage increase I expected.

I didn't even get through 5 more waves...am I misunderstanding what it means by "reset?"

I noticed you have letter enumerations in the numbers. I recommend going into the in-game settings and switching on the scientific notation. It is the standard all the longer time players use. Plus, (assuming you aren't used to it yet) once you get used to it, you will greatly prefer it.

That said...7.63e05% (763k%) bonus is a nice bump...but it depends on what else is being stacked along side it. If you have other champs putting out boosts in the e07 range (10millions% range) an e05% range boost will be a tiny bump. You may want to check to see what your other buffs are so you can get an idea of just how significant of a buff it is.

I don't know how long you have been playing, how well your champs are equipped, etc, so i am going to make the assumption you have played a bit, but not a long time. With the addition of the extra buff from haunted only getting you 5 levels further...it may be that you are just at your wall, and thus it will just take some more favor grinding to gain some more champ levels.

Alternately, you may have a limited selection of champs, and not have many ilevels yet. (ilevels = item levels) If this is the case, no worries as this will be fixed in time as you open more chests.

Another option may be that you don't have an optimized formation, and may just need to juggle some champs around to get a better synergy to boost your DPS.

Like I said...i am making a bunch of assumptions. You may already know all this...but, i figured I would toss out some ideas just in case one of them helps.

but when her haunted buff goes up the damage of the heroes doesn't. I have it quite often that a few deaths later I still can't kill a boss while being able to pay one 100% increase suddenly kills them.
I know it's an old post but I wanted to ask the same thing and then found this.

If every death gives %100 boost: (this "%100" isn't important for death count. it can be %100000, you need same death count for next "e")
1 death: %100 = x2 team damage
10 death: %1000 = x10 = it adds 1 to e :D (example: e72->e73)
100 death: %10000 = x100 = xe2 (e73->e74)
1000 death: %100000= x1000 = xe3 (e74->e75)
1000000 for xe6. You need x9 time for next "e". With modron core players can try e7-e8-e9... :D
You can search monsters health formula. They gain x30 health every 5th area. Means: You need x30 time for every 5 area. You need e3 for 10 area. You need e6 for 20 area.
1m death= 20 area.

Similar skills (Nova (heart)-Jaheria(kill count)-Baeloth(morbid) has same mechanic.
This is "stacking additively and then applying multiplicatively" (Nova disovery "heart" explanation).

This isn't "stacking multiplicatively and then applying multiplicatively"(Nova discovery "brain" explanation). Nova(brain)-Jaheria(class warfare)-Baeloth(generous djinn) have this mechanic. These skills have limits, you can't reach higher value than planned value (game designer plan). Brain: Can collect 1 from 5 area, you can't reach next boss with 1 brain (it is %10). Class Warfare: Max 10. Djinn: Max 9

Sometimes ago, some champions has "exploit". With high ilvl+ulti every 3-5 minute you could gain eX (i don't know numbers, you can search). You can't gain huge advantage without effort/time/money. That isn't good for this genre.

Going from 30 to 1000 death is a 33,3333 multiplier increase (post stack multipliers don't affect that, as the stacks are additives). As health of mob is multiplied by 2,031 by level (general rule, 2,036 in avernus and 1,85 in event/TG if numbers haven't changed), the increase will only let you push 5 more wave, so what you get barely.

2,031^5 = 34,5581 > 33,3333

(Well, what others say, but the 4-5 wave gain means the ability works as intended)

I've read what you discussed and all the technical explanations but I'm sorry to affirm that Stryx Haunted ability IS definitively broken.
I'm only on 100th floor so the explanation for multiple demesured other buffs hiding Haunted effect can't apply. Furthermore, there is a simple practical way to notice it : as I unlock a simple 100% buff by other champion my DPS greatly increase (and I can see also the showed values rising up for concerned champions). With Stryx adding +1500% in a row there is absolutely... nothing.
What concerns me is that this bug has been sighted 1 year ago and still hasn't been corrected. That's sad because it greatly reduce the interest in using this high rank character.

Given were the game is today, I assume this mechanic actually breaks the game. And, they don't know how to make it a meaningful ability w/o breaking the game, so they leave it non-functional to avoid the issue. Maybe some day they'll completely rework her entire profile and ability set to come up with something completely new. There have been a lot of new combos and meta to play with.

I just tested it and it's working fine. A 1500% increase doesn't mean anything in this game. When I run up the deaths and watch the actual damage a character is doing, it does get the boost from Haunted deaths. So yes, it's working.

Strix's Haunted is an additive bonus, so it's uselessly small. It takes about 30 Haunted stacks to match one stack of Baeloth's buff-on-champ-death ability.

Hi guys, thanks for your answers.
Actually, when I tested it, it clearly wasn't working : I checked the DBU, general DPS etc and it wasn't changing at all and my champions couldn't pass a stage despite a fresh new 1.00 e06 bonus from their repetitive deaths... So it is not an impression : it wasn't working at all.
However, I decided to give it a try later with another formation and this time it seemed to work : there was a slight augmentation of stats when teammates died.
And I agree with Ebyl and Neovid : this is quite a disapointment, I consider this power useless and unworthy of a high-level character as Stryx :/

To go back to the original question, I think I figured out what the problem was : run by run, I noticed that sometimes Powers doesn't trigger properly (and it is not specific to Stryx).
My hypothesis is that all these characters effects are sometimes interfering with each others, preventing some scripts to run correctly.

To be short : I'm afraid that ICFR is quite buggy sometimes... :D
