Post Stack Multiplier: 600%
Total Bonus: 763k%
Is what her Outgoing Effects states.
I am running advanced, are you asking about the Running Average?
Saved up all the ults and had to skillfully use them to get past 250.
I noticed you have letter enumerations in the numbers. I recommend going into the in-game settings and switching on the scientific notation. It is the standard all the longer time players use. Plus, (assuming you aren't used to it yet) once you get used to it, you will greatly prefer it.
That said...7.63e05% (763k%) bonus is a nice bump...but it depends on what else is being stacked along side it. If you have other champs putting out boosts in the e07 range (10millions% range) an e05% range boost will be a tiny bump. You may want to check to see what your other buffs are so you can get an idea of just how significant of a buff it is.
I don't know how long you have been playing, how well your champs are equipped, etc, so i am going to make the assumption you have played a bit, but not a long time. With the addition of the extra buff from haunted only getting you 5 levels further...it may be that you are just at your wall, and thus it will just take some more favor grinding to gain some more champ levels.
Alternately, you may have a limited selection of champs, and not have many ilevels yet. (ilevels = item levels) If this is the case, no worries as this will be fixed in time as you open more chests.
Another option may be that you don't have an optimized formation, and may just need to juggle some champs around to get a better synergy to boost your DPS.
Like I said...i am making a bunch of assumptions. You may already know all this...but, i figured I would toss out some ideas just in case one of them helps.
As stated above.
Whatever your weakest buffs are are not even going to have an impact on your DPS if you have something that really outshines it.
Often for me this is from celeste and spurt.
Champs like briv and strix gain stacks that stick until reset of that map.
As briv keeps getting hit, he gains steel which applies DPS to all champs. Cool. So you want him to get hit long enough to where the buff is doign enough. But how many hits is that?
Well, it kind of depends on how strong his steel ability is. this is something that can be affected by gear level.
As well asskill specialization pickup during leveling.
Strix is similar. In that she gains haunted stacks as your heroes die. This does include spurts suicide as he casts his ultimate. That will slowly tick up.
Again the question is how many stacks until it becomes strong enough to be the stronngest buff applied? Or at least apply anything at all?
I once let her crank up to over 465 stacks of haunted. And even with that, It was still not the strongest buff I was recieving but it was up there.
Here is the difference between strix and briv.
Briv has an item which can improve his steel ability. Where strix does not. She can improve poor hygiene, which is a debuff as enemies approach your heroes. So that's in a way just a flat dps gain that does not continue to grow as the level goes on. Where steel keeps getting stronger and stronger until it is useful. Unfortunately so far.. I have not been able to make that very useful either.
I have had good uses for strox though for sure. There are maps where your party is taking killing blows, or constant DPS drain over time so they die and die and die. this is where strix shines. She tries to help keep your frontline tank alive with a second life. She is gaining damage stacks constantly and is likely to be the top dps and top buffer in your party. Which as your allies die off their buffs die off and hers does not.
Problem is.
Is her buff even working?
That's what I want to know.
When I look at strix information page she has Haunted in both the incoming and outgoing buffs. Which means yes she is buffing herself. The buff say's it applies to all champions.
Okay.
So I check all of the other champions, and not 1 of them has haunted as an incoming buff.
When I am able to use drizzt as my main dps, she is just a generic debuffer whos buff is not applying to my main. But when she has to be my main dps on a map, at least she is able to strengthen herself as the map goes on. But only after like 800 deaths. Again, there is no item that you can buff over time that would reduce that to 600 deaths to be useful.
Again compared to briv. if right now it is taking him 1 million hits to become relevent. Evneutally if I get enough levels into his item which increases that skill, it will be 900k til releveant, and so on until he is actually becoming of use in mid game not just a super late game. So on paper, he does not drop opp in power, he has unlimited power.
Where with strix haunted, if your best strategy is to rely on your champions dying to get haunted stacks as it is your only stackable buff in your run. You are in trouble. It will take you endless time to get enough deaths before the buff becomes even relevant. And then what.. if you are working to make haunted as strong as any other buff you are recieving. You are still going to be struggling at about the same wave.
So then you are stuck in the cycle of needing another 150 or so deaths to get buffed through the next wave.
Steel, you just take hits. Consistant growth over. Yes there is the condition of being hit, but this is easier satisfied than the condition of a champion dying.
With this new Patron it turns out I can't use briv, or drizzt. So strix or Jim is now my main DPS.
I was thinking strix. She is decent. Cool. But also having Jim surrounded by so many magic users and supports he is able to self buff to a ridiculous level.
Strix seems good ish. She honestly has decent damage output for me and can carry just fine for the positions I put her in. But haunted has nothing to do with her success. Again if I were buffing Jim, he would have a higher DPS and I would still benefit from poor hygiene as this is likely strix's main source of damage.
With an INT feat on celeste I can put her in as my healer/buffer and this far outshines regis. As far as I can tell. But still I can put in regis with his buffs and debuffs and that has more impact than strix. So is she even a good buffer? No. She is hardly a self buffer, she is kind of a debuffer with poor hygiene. But we also have krull, regis, and others for potential debuffs which offer nice options.
I just want to know if her haunted stacks are actually applying to all champions as it should because as it displays to me it does not. If it does, this helps her in being a support. If it is not applying to my others, then I am not attracted to using her unless I have to.
You'd be surprised how much Jarlaxle can carry as a DPS. Witht he long term scaling of gold chests applying to his levels his is outscaling any event champion I get.
Just to give you a quick example of how exponential magnitudes work in this game (in case you have not yet investigated or found them), as a rule of thumb, each 10 levels you advance, the damage required to kill the enemies multiplies by ~1e3.
Lvl --- ~DMG
100 --- 1e31
200 --- 1e62
300 --- 1e93
400 --- 1e124
...
Then, if you wanted to go from 250 to 300, you would need to increase the damage you are doing by a factor of x1e15.
A bonus to the damage of x7.63e3 (763k%) is in the order of the 1e3 and would allow in the better of circumstances to increase the level you can reach by ~10. If you had wanted to gain 20 levels in your current configuration farming deaths, you would have needed to do it for 1000 times what you have required to reach the 763k%. To gain 30 levels it would have been a million times, and so on.
As you can imagine, there is a point where the time scale involved makes that kind of grinding unfeasable and your option is to reset the run to increase favor, grind low level runs for gems to buy chests (and increase the iLevels), do patron variants (once you have enough favor and iLevels) or... buy chests or packs with money.
Is there a way to determine your total damage and not just base display?
I'm really wondering this as well.
For me, not even Strix herself has Haunted as an incoming buff, only outgoing....
This is the problem I'm having too. I'm starting to suspect that Haunted is actually bugged because none of my champions have Haunted as an incoming effect either. CNE, if you read this, please take a look at it!
As someone that uses Strix a lot though, I can confirm her Haunted ability IS working, it just doesn't show up in the incoming buffs tab because it's not a positional buff, it's a formation-wide buff, which are only shown as an outgoing effect from the champion causing it.
Ive got a 1.5 million bonus atm (2.5k deaths) and swapping in a 200k buffer is increasing listed DPS and getting bigger BUD results than she's getting.
