Hard reset?
This game doesn't appear to have a hard reset option. Having been a year since I last played, I'd like to start over but that doesn't seem possible. As of now I won't be playing unless there is a way to hard reset that I don't know about

You'd better to for a suggestion than an agressive statment but ok :D

I have no idea why you would ever want to "hard reset" in this game...there's almost nothing to gain and everything to lose in doing so.
You always "start over" at each "soft reset", but with more stuff, so why would you want to lose it? Just to read the story cutscenes again?

But, ok...to each their own.
If you still intend to do this, you can likely achieve your goal by removing the game from Steam then re-adding it:

- Uninstall the game.
- Go here from a browser logged in to Steam(or from Steam itself), then click "I want to permanently remove this game from my account". Follow the instructions.
- Find the game back in the store, re-add it and re-install it.

Note, I'm not 100% sure that this will work - I imagine it unlinks and deletes your Codename account from Steam when you remove the game, and then creates a new account when you reinstall...but since I'm not actually working for either Steam nor Codename, I don't know for sure, and I never actually tried it.

It's the only way I can think of, however. Worth a shot...

You can probably write in a ticket to CNE Support if the above doesn't work, and they might be able to assist you in your endeavors.

Or create a new account just for games like that you want absolutely to hard reset.
It's a free to play.

This method does not work, I have done this in the past once when I rage quit, and then later descided to return, figured I would have to start again, nope, picked up right where I left off. Our progress is aparantly saved on codename servers, and they keep your progress no matter what.
The only way to start over right now is to create a new account with a new email address attached to it. Maybe an ingame support ticket might get some results but somehow I doubt they would do it.

Idle Champions is now playable within the Browser. Just register a Account at codename (https://games.codenameentertainment.com/?page=game&game_id=3) and play there. You can keep your progress on steam and when you feel to come back you can...

I wish they never add this option, because if by mistake you activate it you could lost thousands hours and hundreds dollars. Idle game is just about endless farming, you missed nothing and there will be no benefit to reset your progress.

yes it just keeps going. doesn't matter if you uninstall etc...

You cannot hard reset, unless you send a support ticket.

But as the others said when this thread was live a year ago, there is little to no point in hard resetting. Use that farming gold to your advantage and pick off where you left off.

Schnatze Sep 25, 2020 @ 3:06pm

To redo the whole story-line?
To screenshot that 1 joke?
To... too many people too many reasons.
