You always "start over" at each "soft reset", but with more stuff, so why would you want to lose it? Just to read the story cutscenes again?
But, ok...to each their own.
If you still intend to do this, you can likely achieve your goal by removing the game from Steam then re-adding it:
- Uninstall the game.
- Go here from a browser logged in to Steam(or from Steam itself), then click "I want to permanently remove this game from my account". Follow the instructions.
- Find the game back in the store, re-add it and re-install it.
Note, I'm not 100% sure that this will work - I imagine it unlinks and deletes your Codename account from Steam when you remove the game, and then creates a new account when you reinstall...but since I'm not actually working for either Steam nor Codename, I don't know for sure, and I never actually tried it.
It's the only way I can think of, however. Worth a shot...
It's a free to play.
This method does not work, I have done this in the past once when I rage quit, and then later descided to return, figured I would have to start again, nope, picked up right where I left off. Our progress is aparantly saved on codename servers, and they keep your progress no matter what.
You cannot hard reset, unless you send a support ticket.
But as the others said when this thread was live a year ago, there is little to no point in hard resetting. Use that farming gold to your advantage and pick off where you left off.
To screenshot that 1 joke?
To... too many people too many reasons.
